I usually have at least 3 knives, sometimes 4, depending on where I am going to be that day.

Four if I can get away with a fixed blade. Sitting here at my desk right now I have Nealy Aikuchi tucked in the front of my jeans. A Buck trapper in the coin pocket. A Kershaw Ricochet in my right hand pocket and a Victrinox nail clipper in the left hand pocket. The knives change but the quantities remain the same.
