Let’s see some more small mid century hatchets. I’ve got a little pile started….The Grove on the right is in the best shape of them all and possibly my favorite.

Wooden Axe. The paint could have been better. But it was fun to make. The eye isn’t real. It’s just a carved spot on the head. Nice little grown man toy, I guess.

A leather clicking knife, hatchet shaped but I don't call them a hatchet.
When the dies are pressed down to punch out the pieces for shoes/ boots or holsters and knife sheaths...etc these are used to quickly separate all the scrap hanging off that was left between everything they punched out.

Mock up of my take on a lambsplitter. Started with 1/4-3/8 inch plate steel. Not sure what kind. It’s a little soft. I need to sharpen, temper and hear treat it, then rehandle it, and do the finish work. 25 inches long.
