Axe, Tomahawk & Hatchet Photo Thread

Some pics of my CRKT Kangee T-Hawk. This tomahawk has somewhat of a bad rep, but I've realized it's really just meant for fighting and utility\survival. As long as you don't throw it it'll last a lifetime.

Bad rep?! Why? I'll take it over my friggin' CS Pipe Hawk ANY day of the week. But I don't throw my tools, so I am probably missing the deficiency,

My belt hawk from JK Knives, it's 14.25" long, heftier than I expected. Along with a sheepsfoot friction folder by John also.

Wow! Look at that! I'd have bought it just for the haft. Does it feel as good in the hand as it looks like it would?

Haha yeah that's the only reason I bought it, the head is just another Michigan 3 1/2 pounder, labeled Grey Gorge. It was $35. Feels good on the left hand, like a custom carved grip on a target pistol.

My beater hatchet...

CS Poll Axe at what was left of my house. (it worked great dragging out debris and furniture, and chopping through floors)

I love the mods and custom rigs, am working on a few mods currently. However, at the moment my working hand axe is as follows.

And yes, the knife is a mora, contrary to many opinions it is a highly functional knife. And a great starter Hunter/camp knife for my 5 year old daughter. (She prefers butterfly knives and is quite good with them. )

Me too. I gotta buy a new haft for it, because I wound up breaking it at the head, but luckily found my Norse hawk and eastwing carpenters hatchet and went back to work.

I am sad to hear it Johnny.

This was my dad's 3 &1/2 pound Vaughan that I am re-hafting and cleaning up a bit.
