Axe, Tomahawk & Hatchet Photo Thread

Hello all! I'm new here and am hoping someone can help me. I live in San Antonio Texas and was digging in my backyard. About a foot deep I found this. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Thanks

I just went through this whole thread. Some great pieces here!

I picked this up a little while back. Don't know much about it other than Underhill Edge Tool was local to MA/NH in the late 1800's to early 1900's. I didn't have much need for this, other than it looked cool, so I had to have it. It's definitely seen some use.

Coop, I see your are in NH as well!

Nice old slick DH.

its definitely been nice to have the few times i have used it. i found that one in my great grandfathers tool chest so never looked into before, looks to be a James Warnock & Co. out of Galt Ontario ca. 1870-1910.

my number one tool on camping and hiking trips, my gransfors bruks hunters axe

not the best pic but my girlfriend took it on a recent outing

Wow. You've got a Treasure trove. I have a shrike and am thinking about getting the wren.
How do you like the wren? Is it at all practical or just a defense tool?
Which one is your favorite?
The Wren is actually my favorite out of all of them. It is so light and fast feeling.

Thanks man, I've been contemplating on it for a while now. How's the grip on it?
Definitely going to get one soon. I'd like it if they did more handle colors though.

Some pics of my CRKT Kangee T-Hawk. This tomahawk has somewhat of a bad rep, but I've realized it's really just meant for fighting and utility\survival. As long as you don't throw it it'll last a lifetime.

Also, here's a prop tomahawk I made. I bought the non tool grade head, then made the shaft and wrapped it. I'm probably going to ad leather tassels and some feathers eventually.
