Much in those CROCS thoughI thought I'd share a picture of my proud 70 year old Irish father inlaw who just split his first piece of wood ever!! He is such a townie. He had never used an axe before so I let him play with a forgiving axe my son uses.

A typical small carpenter's broad hatchet , but the small ones seem much less common so there aren't as many suspect makers I don't think.
