Axe, Tomahawk & Hatchet Photo Thread

If this existed I might try it before I'd ever try the vaguely axe shaped abomination they're actually offering.
Looks like a Fiskars.

Nice little acquisition. It’s older for sure. I gave it a light bath in vinegar, then a good scrubbing and washing. I think it’s a Kelly but not sure. It has some embossing on it but I can’t make it out. The haft is what came with it. Rusty and super greasy, the head and handle were bad. The handle was so greasy you could barely make out that it was wooden. A little cleaning up and some fire and it’s good to go until it breaks. Anywho, thought I’d share.IMG_5941.jpeg

Picked up a gorgeous 1960s/70s Stanley Jobmaster 1 1/4 lb Dayton Pattern 59-200. No “M” present. Is a garden variety Stanley from the 60s desirable? It is to me. Even many of the M or double M stamped axes from the late 70s(?) through early 90s had nice hard steel. Never had a problem with them…

Thank you! I’m cleaning it up slowly, with a hand file and sandpaper… goal is to not make it any worse ᵕ̈

Incredible chopper, Collins Jersey is a winner. The original hickory handles were amazing too, strong and curvey.

Just cleaned up another one of these 3.5 pounders:

Do you know the age?
I see the Collins in the rectangle with the weight & picked up a boys axe with the same style stamp. I assume mine is after Mann took over possibly from the 80's. It has the flat slab handle.

Best guess: 1975-85.
