No problem man, glad i could help you spend money LOL

Swamp rat uses a steel they call SR101, which is 52100 with Busse heat treat. Swamp rat and scrapyard are "kin" to Busse knives, same parent company same equipment, same family, swamp rat is the mid priced line-up. Scrapyard is the cheaper line-up. Both use excellent steel and have about the best heat treating in the business.

I honestly like SR101 or 52100 better than Infi steel used on Busse Combat knives. Infi is more stain resistant and will take a little more before oxidation sets in but SR101 in my uses holds its edge longer. Infi might be more impact resistant but past a certain point unless you are intentionally trying to break something, edge retention is quite a bit more important IMHO anyway. But dont take that as anything wrong with Infi in the edge retention area, its better than alot of carbon steels but in my uses SR101 tops it.

Get a swamp rat knife, use it, You will love it... or it can be sold for the price you paid the same day, even after use most the time if you havent damaged it. Not many knives hold their value like Busse/kin.

Alright guys. My BK9 will be here tomorrow and I know I"m replacing the grivory scales. I'm most likely going with some tommythewho scales, hes a local guy to me. Sells all his stuff on ebay. Help me decided which scales to get and I will give away one the small gerber machete that Jim gave to me. Here are the options:

#1 Bocote

I still have Flambeau Zerust dividers. I'm bagging them in bags of 24 (should be more than enough for a tackle box or tool box).
They advertise to protect against rust and oxidation for 5 years in a semi sealed environment.

Since we're showing our woods buddies:
