Don't bother with a keychain knife. Pretty much all courthouses have metal detectors these days and it will become a source of aggravation.

Seems like yesterday I was a new attorney, but it's getting close to 25 years.....

Tempting, but I couldn't do you a lot of good from the other end of the country.

that's why I recently invested in a pretty cool Le Hook valet keychain! got the smallest size, loving it besides the high shipping costs from overseas

So, I just got done writing a program to calculate e^x using n!
Is that interesting enough to start a conversation over?

It surprises mt how many people lurk here without offering or claiming anything. I guess everyone's waiting for the next Tuff :adjoint:

What does that first bit mean?

"e" is better known as Napier's constant, (approximately 2.71828183).
e^x is better known as the exponential function, and its inverse is the natural logarithm (ln, or log base e).
To calculate e^x we have 1 + x + (x^2)/2! + (x^3)/3! + (...) + (x^n)/n!

n! represents the factorial, or the product of all positive integers less than or equal to n.
Example:

3! = 1 * 2 * 3

So:

3! = 6

This is used for practically everything important that happens with numbers, and sees applications in everything from the calculation of compound interest to the identification of certain numerical probabilities in computer science!

Fun, eh?! :D

Schrade 77OT is still available!

I thought "e" is better known as the 5th letter in the English alphabet.

And stv, your computer is malfunctioning.
