I'd like to pass on my Izula II but I can't afford another small fixed EDC right now. :/ Can't give up things I use daily.
Ive been looking at pulling the trigger on one of these, the desert tan looks so classy. Is there anything you dont really like? Did you get the kit with it? How do you carry yours? What do you really like about it?

Hey guys, sorry for the delay, shipping everything out tonight. I've been super busy.

News flash - jury duty is BORING

Didn't someone once say that in a fair trial you can actually be convicted by a jury of your peers too stupid to get out of jury duty?

Sucks dude. I've only been called once before, and luckily enough, when I got there the prosecuting attorney was the father of a friend I had way back in High School.

"Does anyone know the prosecuting attorney personally?"
I raised my hand.
"Will that impede your ability to be unbiased?"
"Yes."
"You are dismissed."
Took my $40 and went home.

LOL.

I feel ya, I've been trying to buy a Bk14 for about 5 months now and can never come up with the dough. between christmas and birthdays in my family, I have a feeling it'll be many months from now lol.

Izulas are cool but its not something I'd claim.

Hey guys, checkin in and wanted to share a story that goes right along with the spirit of this thread.

This story is about a very close buddy of mine, Brian, who I've known since I was 8 years old. He's 25 now and 6 years ago when he was 19 his father, a Columbus police officer was killed in the line of duty (M/C officer killed in a crash). Brian has never been a knife guy, he EDC's a tenacious he bought about a year ago after asking for my recommendation, but he never really got into blades and only owns a few other cheapies. He however does own a strider that was his fathers duty knife, as you might guess he never carries it, actually he has me keep it in my safe and I every so often pull it out and give it a new coat of oil and admire it, its in the same condition as the day his father was killed-never even sharpened and I doubt he'll ever use it. (If you kept up with the original PiF threads you would know just how much I feel connected to his situation)

Well over the weekend we were doing some work setting up for a "hunter pace" (a specific type of horse show/event) and he was using my mini-grip (I was using the military I have from a pass-around). Afterwards I pretty much had to pry it from his hand, he said "this is the best knife I've ever seen for hard use" (now obviously we wouldn't consider a mini-grip "hard use" but we're a little crazy). He talked it up for the rest of the day and played with it and flipped it and just fell in love with it.

Anyhow come Sunday night I was looking around the sales forums and found a 551 griptilian for a price I could actually afford ($65, which I consider a great deal for that knife) and I was so glad to find one and be able to buy it for him, even before this I had a mini-grip written down as what I wanted to get him this year for Xmas (and I may still do that) but I really felt honored that the opportunity came up I could get him this knife now that I knew for a fact he really liked.

That's just my quick little story I waned to share about how the giving spirit is so contagious. Thank you all who are still able to keep giving, I ran out of stuff two threads back so I haven't been partaking anymore cause I don't want to ask for anything while not having anything left to offer.

Very good!

551 not a hard use blade? Nobody told my Dad that. His is holding up quite well. :D

Hey C_K, awesome story dude. It's really a great feeling and I'm so thrilled to see that the PIF spirit is extending beyond the confines of the forums. I bought an Emerson CQC 7B recently for my friend who is active duty Army infantry, and I'm currently working on acquiring a few more hard use knives to send to other active duty friends and family.
