I did receive your payment, but in the post you quoted I was refering to someone else. Your payment was a little bit short to cover your portion of the free patches, but only by .25 cents.
 
you honestly needed to mention that i was $.25 short of something that i was just willing to offer up and didnt even have to send? are things really that tight that you need to be worried about a quarter and feel the need to point it out?

Please accept my apologies. I definitely did not intend to single you out or sound negative. I was answering you question since you were concern about having sent the wrong amount. I though (wrongly) that knowing that your guess was that close to the actual amount would put your doubts to rest. That was the only reason why I mentioned the amount. I have limited giving out details on payments to emails, and I can see now why my comment was unwise, not to say dumb on my part. My only defense is that at the time I was severely sleep deprived, (slept 9 hours in 3 days) so please again, accept my apologies.

That been said, keep in mind that the portion for the free patches had to be sent by everyone. Some people have voluntarily sent more than the specified amount to help with unexpected expenses, (all PayPal transactions [not only credit card transaction] are been charged fees, some people have not paid their patches, canceled part of the order, or in one case, canceled the order completely, and now it seems that I was a little off in the shipping estimate for the largest orders, all of which raised some the final cost of the project), and some people sent some extra specifically for my children’s Christmas gifts. But the free patches portion was to be covered by everyone.
 
Do you have any idea when you are going to receive the patch samples in the mail? Just wondering since I can't wait to receive the patches.
 
I'm shooting for a pre-Christmas delivery. Tomorrow (Tuesday 11/20) I'll know when I'm supposed to receive the patch Samples. The art looks great though. Depending on the date I'm supposed to receive the samples, I may forego the samples and proceed directly with the order. I’m supposed to receive the patches three weeks after sample patch approval. If the samples are going to take too long, that could push patches delivery to after Christmas, and I don't (and I'm sure nobody else) want that.

As far as I'm concerned, whatever day I get the patches will feel a bit like Christmas, so no worries either way.
 
I've got so much to do before xmas I won't get time to put them on anything anyhow!

Update:

I was supposed to call Satndri today (11/20/) and know when the samples would be ready. That didn't happen. I had a meeting that ran too long and wasn't able to call Standri before their closing time. I'll call tomorow.

Also, on the text that will appear in on the patches, this is what the patches will read based in the responces (mayority rule) I got from you guys:

Patches 3-Color #1, 3-Color #2, and Mod. Design #2 will read "Wilderness & Survival." There is not enough space to add "Skills."

Guy on a Split will have not text.
 
Talked to Standri today (11/21) and I should have the sample patches by the end on next week. They will try to add the word "skills." Some more good news is that the patches should be ready for shipping in 2 weeks after I approve the samples, not three. That will make a pre-Christmas delivery possible.

When did we decide that "Skills" was being added to the patches ?

Why are we changing things after everyone agreed to the designs ?

The main reason some members who prefered "Wilderness Survival" over "Wilderness & Survival" was that the patches would still lack the word "skills" to trully be forum patches. Some of the members who prefered "Wilderness & Survival" lamented that the word "Skills' would not fit in the patches.

At first the person working our order at Standri said that the word would not fit. Now she is not sure. They'll confirm on monday if their artist can fit the word or not. Íf the word fit, I'll let everybody know, but I'm not holding my breath.
 
This is just my opinion, but I think the big problem with too many words, is that the patch gets a real busy look to it, like everything is crammed together. Then the actual artwork no longer has the appeal that it originally did.
