B13

What projects do we know of that are occupying Jerry's time? Should be a safe bet that, although he must surely be aware of the fanatical response to the thought of the 13olo, Jerry won't commit his time to it until finishing up projects already in the works. Just a thought, may be totally off base here.

There's the Battle Grade ASH1, which looks to launch just around the corner.
There's the ASH2, no idea on timeline or what remains to be done from an engineering or planning perspective.
Possibly the 30B8, but I don't believe he's responded to that request yet either.
I'm sure there are many others, but are there any other publicly known projects known that he has committed to?

We need to make enough noise to make sure this is the project he picks up next!

I'm back! Gave my 1311 a good workout for the last few days. Every time I swing my 1311, it makes me want a B13 even more.

Back to the conversation.

I want a chopper. Not a weapon. I have weapons that act as weapons. I don't need to turn every object I own into a killing machine. I actually use my knives. If I bought a knife for the purpose of killing people, it wouldn't get used. If I buy a knife for chopping through brush and busting up some logs, it will get used. Oh and IF I for some reason needed to defend my life with a Bolo13, I'm sure it would work perfectly fine. I don't see that changing the profile or grind would really dampen my ability to cut someone. But then again I'm not a finely tuned killing machine.

BRING ON THE 13olo 13!

That's what I'm talking about and very well written! Let's get a really useful knife for real world use! Bring the Bolo13! :D

This sounds very personal my friend…. a few thoughts.

You can use a sledgehammer as a weapon, that doesn't make it a good weapon. You can use anything as a weapon for that matter, my point was simply saying that a knife designed as a weapon first can still work great for all those tasks you mentioned.

This is coming from somebody who recognizes that knives have in fact been designed, built and used as weapons for centuries….along with being used for utility purposes when needed. I guess since Cali has so many great laws to protect it's 'sheeple' you really don't need any weapons though, anyways….

You guys are saying the same exact thing, just from different sides of the playground.

The fact that ANY AND ALL TOOLS can be used as weapons is a FACT. It could be said of ANY BLADE found in this or any other thread in the entirety of BLADEFORUMS. No need to even bring it up anymore, whether to say it could or couldn't. That's not the issue. The issue is getting a fine VERSATILE working tool made out of the finest user steel that I've had the privilege OF usING.

No I'll will meant in either direction, just know that YOURE BOTH RIGHT, and I would like to know that the blade I'm snagging is useful across the whole spectrum.

Period.

Let's get r dun and not nitpick the little stuff.

We need:

Bolo
1NFI
3teen
That looks like this:

Once we have a

we can mod it into whatever we want, especially if we are good at regrinds and resharpening! ;) :D

What are your thoughts about having a full tang (light brigade treatment) handle with res-c slabs, so the tang is exposed around the edges and maybe extruding a bit out the back of the pommel so you can hit it with a baton or hammer? Would it provide less shock absorption? Would the trade off be worth it?

It would be cool if Jerry would make this option available for CG knives, but that would make this knife no longer a "Basic" series.

Okay, the Battle ASH was just announced as being released this Thursday, so let me give this thread a little Bumperooskie to help Y'all out.;)

But we aren't talking sledgehammers. We are talking knives. Compromising ANYTHING that would make this the ultimate Res-C chopper in favor of a weapon seems silly.

I think we can all safely say this is not news. It's just not relevant. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here. Maybe saying that I don't know that knives have been made as weapons AND utility purposes? Moving along.

I guess since Cali has so many great laws to protect it's 'sheeple' you really don't need any weapons though, anyways….
Now that's just ridiculous. So because I live in California, I'm against weapons? I probably own more firearms that you do and to be clear, I don't consider them all weapons. They are tools. I call my home defense guns, weapons. And Californias gun laws aren't quite as liberal as you might think. AND don't judge us gun owners in Cali poorly just because we are outnumbered here. Most of us spend more money fighting gun restrictions and more time writing to our representatives that you probably do.

Sorry to sidetrack everyone. Just trying to keep this chopper a chopper.
