After reading your post i'll most likely grab a Ka-bar Machax at some point instead of a Cam.

The Patrol is probably my Favorite Becker. I guess that's why I keep buying them lol. I use it for trail blazing and chopping mid sized lumber. I haven't batoned with one yet. I just haven't needed to.
 
Mm.. Its a beaut but still maybe a bit tooo much blade for me. Read some review about it breaking when chopping...

I like batoning aLoT.
 
Not sharp yet but angles just about right.
Made a kinda "semi-convex" edge for now but will knock of the remaining shoulder eventually..

Didnt get the time to baton today... A friend called me up and wanted a sheath for his fishingknife. PRONTO!
He's going on a fishingtrip tomorrow and had lost the sheath for his fav knife... :confused:
I know, wierdo.. Flyfisherman you know.

Easy peasy, uggly azz knife though:D

I am hoping to find some free time this spring to get out and put these knives back to work ... I love the BK5 and BK15 for butchering ... I had to search to get a couple extras to have since they discontinued them ...

Jonny (91Bravo) was kind enough to sandblast one of each for me ... I'm chomping at the bit to get time to finish them and get them all set up like I'm hoping to ... but that may take til summer with dad being ill most my time is spent there...

but all these pics are making me want to get out so much ... so I'm living vicariously through all you guys pictures until then !!!
 
I gotta say I really admire the property that so many of you guys own or have access to. I work a big city job that requires a daily suit and tie for the long work day. When I see some of the pics you guys post, well, it seems like heavenly bliss.:thumbsup:
