I just finished renovating my Empire display, a lot of upgraded knives, and an increase in number, from 54 to 78. New backing, and signs.
It is a replica of a display that Empire assembled for the 1858 Connecticut Agricultural Fair.
Now it is off to the Oregon Knife Show!!
Here's a sneak preview!

Your the man!

Thats a great looking display on many levels.

Good luck at the show with it.

Thanks Ken!
Here is a photocopy of an old worn brochure, that my friend Tom found in Connecticut, that provided the "plans" for the Display!
If I remember, the original brochure belongs to a local Historical Society in Winsted.

What a great display! (I think I see the dogleg jack I sold you at Blade two years ago in there.)

Job well done.

Way Cool Waynorth. Very nice looking display. I will be doing some squinting now.

Adding a question... Are the knives clinging to the backing via magnets? I do not see anything holding them up.
OK, squinted harder and did see wires.

Wow!

That is an awesome display, and it leaves me at a loss for words.

All I can think of is stunning, or mind blowing.

Wow!

Yes, Mike! That was your knife!! Couldn't-a done it without ya!:D

Hal, they are wired in place, just like the old time cases.

Thanks for all the appreciative words folks!

Fantastic Charlie

That is so cool!

All you need know at the knife show is to have a gentlemen in period attire stand by the display. Any volunteers?

WOW!!!! That display is simply stunning. Maybe it can get better than that but I just don't see it happening. Thanks for posting the picture of your display.

Charlie, you have way tooooo much time on your hands (thank the lord cuz then we wouldn't see all these great knives)!!!!!! Nice work.

Absolutely amazing collection and presentation. You're a credit to the knife community, Charlie.
