The Little Valley Punch.
It didn't have a patent that I know of. Case Brothers Cutlery existed in Little Valley from about 1900 to 1912 - a short time, relatively. This is the only one I have seen. Please post pics if you have one.

It is narrower than any punch we have done before, but thicker.
It looks way cool, and could prove very useful for many situations.
Should we try it?????

To use it in our EE Forum knife, it would be a mirror image, sitting behind the main blade, at the opposite end.
Whadda ya say??

Little Valley is the next town over from me basically....I'm absolutely for this punch for the historical reasons, the fact that it hasn't been used yet and it.....well should there be any other reason??

I don't have a picture handy, but how does it differ from the punch on Case's current offering? I'm seeing flat on one side, beveled and swedged on the other.

For the record, I'm in.

I like it.

It's different than ones we see a lot of.

Looks stout without having the "folded over" aspect, and has lots of meat to it.

For my vote: Sure, why not. It's the forum knife after all!

Question: What situations are you envisioning this usefulness in? For the life of me, I can't think of any where it would perform better than the Washington HJ punch (or any other HJ punch), unless used for scraping or prying.....

I REALLY like the forged punch on the camp knife - could they do a scaled down version?

Not seeing the usefulness as a punch necessarily but I could see it being useful as a scraper, scribe, poker, marlin spike... I'm more inclined to like this than a sharp punch tbh. I think I could actually use this on a construction site.

That's a neat punch. It reminds me of this Kabar punch, except everything is opposite.

I like the idea of something that hasn't been really seen or used before.

yes, this is perfect. it looks heavy duty, and different than a number of punches i've been viewing. emphatic thumbs-up:)
thanks, Neal
p.s. ^^^agreed! unused (or under used) is a fantastic thing for a forum knife. this really makes me smile.

It looks like it would be a good marlin spike which certainly shifts the punch from "I don't know why I would ever use it" to " I can imagine using it territory " for me.

Of course, as stated in the past, I am in pretty much no matter what. I just love getting to participate in this forum, and I got exactly what I wanted last year.

How does one get in on this knife? I'm a sucker for a punch (sucker punch, lol). My first case knife was a stockman with a punch.
