I decided to go for a press-fit whit two half nuts. First i even up the handle so the guard can be hammered on.

Top of the guard polished. 80-120-240-320-600-1200 red and white polish

The fit is solid.

Puuh, it seems like I've past all the critical stages whit out any set backs.

I need to square the handle, shape it, shape the guard. Put an edge on the blade and put a finish on the shebang.
 
Normally I just love the feel of files ripping through material. But G-10 is no joy to work with. The tools just rides upon it hardly making a mark. :grumpy:
 
Yes, the Jade Ghost G10 is some slow cutting tough stuff. I found it easier to shape with files than with the bandsaw.
 
I'm going to thin down the guard and and put an edge and a finish on it. Let me hear what you guys think of the knife and work so far! :)
