If you really must warn potential buyers about issues, I'm not aware of any rule about sending a heads-up through PM, e-mail, or visitor messages, just don't go into the thread. I'm sure if I'm wrong, someone will correct me in a hurry.
 
yes i do and i have been screaming at the top of my lungs to anyone who will listen, if you want to get in touch with me my phone number is 800 830 2351 additonally i can be reached on my landline at 727 724 4049 and cell 727 510 9807 i will be happy to provide details about my merchant account including the company, merchant id and bank number, additionally i will also provide tax documents...this is not a game and i don't appreciate the blatant disrespect in the face of my honest and integrity, the circumstances surrounding the banning of my account were nothing sinister i was new to the site and made a new name because i was receiving threatening emails because i dogged a certain dude who is big in the industry and made up lies about himself.... i did it to protect my family...i didn't use that account to bolster myself by any means i simply didn't know any better.... i am not dodging that accusation, i was told i could come back and to keep things positive which i have been doing 100 percent. i paid 250 dollars to the site this week...

please call me and i will provide all details and documentation anyone seeks to know i am running a legitimate business. i have been asking for that all week since there has been rumor of this and that...

the facts are right here...i just spent like 20,000 grand in the community no bs and i invested another 80 into a business that is going to be directly marketing to helping this site gain more members and eventually do charity work, thats the goal!

please call me i'm not hiding anything i have nothing but love and heart to give to the community

And again, no legitimate business should EVER ask a customer for their credit card/ID# over the phone or by internet. Your card issuer will not do this, no legitimate online store will do this (they will link you to a secure, authorized web page). Why did you?
 
And again, ACQ, why the extra PP bilking? Why ask him to send via Gift option, stripping him of any possible recourse in the event of fraud? A legitimate business neither violates the TOS of their intermediaries, nor expects their clientele to do so.

Either you're scamming or setting up to do so, or you're completely clueless. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume the latter.

while i understand this thought...and i most likely have this at my disposal....thats not how we operate....doctors and their staff call us and give us orders over the phone....i've never used pay pal...i wasn't trying to screw anyone i was merely replicating the template i had seen else where all over the site.... people were asking for gift payments...people i have done business with here asked me for a gift payment.....

at trade shows, dental and medical exhibitions all over the world....

there is no secure ordering process...the customer gives you their credit information....you process it by phone and send them he order

we just aren't that high tech yet....

to be quite honest with you my father just had two catastrophic strokes and the whole things has been thrown onto my lap as well as being his FULL time nurse....i was doing wat i was trained to do...

I get the card numbers, I run them, I get an approval number, I ship the product....the doctors keep coming back...the money goes into the bank, everything is all good....

to say no legitimate business would ask for a credit card over the phone is idiotic....every legitimate business you give you card number to over the phone when you are placing an order....

I really hadn't thought about the fact that i'm stepping into a new ground with no reputation because we have a very good reputation....

you are protected by your credit card company just as you are protected by paypal or ebay....

When you call any business in the world by phone which this gentleman did to me....you give them your credit card number or you don't get your product or you go online and place the order by web..i don't have a website unfortunetly because we are extremely old fashioned and barely use computers...we do business on the go in whatever city we are in and then thats approval gets sent back to the home office and the ok to ship the clients product is good....

i understand people don't want to give their credit card numbers out to just anyone....they aren't we are a freaking medical company with references and contacts all over the world...if you were to call me right now i can give you the names of plenty of doctors who use our equipment within a radius of you

in fact everytime you go to the dentist you are getting our product put in your mouth. FACT.

to make a solution that well everyone has a secure website is just incorrect, this is my first order thru this avenue of the business everrrr. invoice 0001. I am getting on my feet i've been here a freaking week man.

i have a toll free number and the custom knife maker believes in me what more do you want....

the magnitude of my families businesses are rediculously large i usually don't have to hear about small time stuff like this...and when i do we do so well we tell that client to hit the road...and guess what that NEVER happens, that hasn't happened in like at least 10 years.... because we deal with repeat customers

and this is something i need to have as an eye opener. this is a whole new territory and thats something i need to respect, just as this member needs to respect when i refund his money because he isn't verified as he said he was.....

i'll be honest with ya I don't have a whole lot of experience doing anything new like this, this is a fresh start because the economy has slowed down a little bit and every bit counts :)

in addition to our business our family has also been in this field for 25 years i grew up on the trade show floors walking the aisles getting samples learning all this...there has not been one report of fraud because thats not us baby. we make dental drills that go in your mouth....we sell lifetime garunteed oral surgery cutlery that they use to extract teeth, we sell high temp cauteries, root canal instrumentation, when that assistant or hygienst calls me to get her products, she isn't worried we are going to put her credit card in harms way because if we did, we wouldn't be in tight with every major dental organization in the WORLD


we don't travel the world screwing doctors over why the hell would your couple hundred dollars be any different

Nice non-answer. This is not your fathers medical business. What your father's current medical conditions or what dentists do is completely irelavent to the situation. This is dealing over the internet, to complete strangers, who know nothing of you. It is very suspicious and altogether slimy to conduct this type of business this way, especially when no one other than scammers should ask for this information. Why did you?

i'm gonna have to claim idioticness lol i'm caveman dumb right now man, i was merely copying what i had seen and what i have been asked to do.....i had the guys money and his extra gift money if i was scamming you'd be hearing about it and i would have priced the knives much lower to hit big and hit at once...these knives are in high demand my friend....

in all seriousness....i am exhausted, my adrenal glands are dead, i have been running on 5 hour energy and no sleep since my father got ill, i have been emptying urinals and wiping his crap up because he is completely hemipelegic and bed bound is just learing to transfer to a bedside commode, i'm ready to break down and cry....i really need a good cry

i'm a little daddies boy from florida man....i'm a 25 year old man child trying to become a man and do the right things in life

i have 2 friends. i'm a pretty good looking guy with no sex life. i have an infant child. my life is in shambles and i'm picking up the pieces because everything is coming together and i can see the light at the end of the tunnel

i'm not trying to screw anyone...i was just looking at it like damn i just paid this much to get this knife here for promotional and photography purposes why the hell am i gonna sell it and make 2 dollars.....i really set it straight on the phone with him i was like look i don't know what to expect but from what i do expect i expect fees, i am gonna hook you up and send you some cool stickers and small gear as a sign of gratitude and love...why am i doing this for two dollars...

he sent me the gift out of that sentiment i kinda asked him to take care of me but i never was like hey u need to send this as a gift and in fact i didn't invoice him that either...i invoiced it as goods!

he sent the gift out of generosity, generosity i appreciate and feel bad it didn't work out because most people dont do that....but i returned it all...it was going to take me 5 days to refund him so i paid an extra penalty just to send payment to myself so that when i woke up this morning this wouldn't happen and if it did i could say look it didn't work out but the guy got all his money back to him....

i am just exhausted sad and looking for hope man read my posts, i'm depressed i'm crying right now...

i did that. boom. get paid...send product...i don't really care how you do business or how scammers operate, i am not a scammer i got big time dudes who would put their reputation up to vouch for me from the heart....they feel my pain and know who i am....u can get your little google on and say what you think you know but you can kiss it bro

the dude specifically told me he was verified, you can imagine my surprise in my inexperience when i came to find he was not and there is a little disclaimer from pay pal saying...hey just so you know you aren't covered, also don't mail product until this payment is no longer under review...which at the time was a big deal to me i was like wtf this guy lied..and now pay pal is saying don't trust him...well it turned out pay pal eventually said everything was cool

but i had already emailed the guy and told him to screw off for lying and not wanting to make things right

you tell me what kinda scammer wants your id with the information taped over....

yea go hate on someone else....i'm done here....read between the lines

Actually this is exactly what I expected. When posed a very direct and pointed question, you avoid giving a direct answer to the question by giving a long drawn out rhetorical argument. After that, you attempt to elicit sympathy by bringing up a sad family story, real or false, to avoid giving a direct answer. It's very typical actually.

FWIW, I take credit cards over the phone, all day long, from a legitimate business.

Yes, we have a website, yes we still take CC's over the phone.

We don't call people asking for credit card numbers. They call us to give them. That's generally how it should work.

Ditto. And I work for a major international business. You see their commercials or ads every day. But the customers made the call to us. And we're an established company.

ACQ is some dude on the internet. You don't give your info to some dude over the internet.

I was referring to businesses calling the customer for credit card information. Probably should have clarified, but I wasn't thinking about that end, my point stands though. When some guy, legitimate businessman or not, calls you asking for your information, you tell him where to stick because you have no way to know whether he is who he says he is, he's just a voice, or words on a computer monitor. If I call to order a computer from Dell using Dell's number listed on Dell's web page, then I know who I'm dealing with, I may not know what country I'm calling, but I'm dealing with a well known, reputable company. If Dell calls me later and asks me to repeat some information I'm not dealing with Dell anymore, whether I am or not. I'm dealing with a scammer.

You guys have beaten this matter to death and are just repeating yourselves over and over ad nauseum.

Either do business with ACQ or don't. I don't think he's going to have the chance to do more than one bad transaction here (if that should ever happen).

Let's move on. If any of you ever actually come up with some evidence of financial misconduct or fraud feel free to open another thread or report it to the moderators.

Until then let's give the guy a chance to make good (or not). Frankly, to continue this incessant bashing is just unseemly and totally out of step with the character of these forums.
