BAD DEAL w/ gbuck8825

Communication, communication, communication can be the difference between a good deal and a deal gone south. BUT, if you say you are going to do something and then fail to do what you said you would, you have begun the process towards becoming totally unreliable and a big risk to deal with. Immediate action may save you from a bad rep here on BFC.

"You are only as good as your word"

We cannot restrict people to one forum, and I am reluctant to ban him at this time.

Typically, we won't ban someone for scamming one person.

Lets wait and see how this plays out.

Sorry to hear you had to go through this. Its sad to see it, but there's always a few individuals, staining what is a great forum. It happens here, and it happens everywhere else. If you say your going to do something then do it. Plain and simple. Its just like those people that order a custom piece and then never pay after its made.

Don't Ban him, just tie a plastic bag around his head!!

But only until he coughs up..........................................the knife (or money)

:p

Still no comm's with Graham. I know a friend of mine here on BF's was emailing him about trading the Hall Bounty Hunter that was involved in the deal. Once he mentioned my name, Graham never replied.

I am chaulking this one up to a loss. Hopefully he will have a much harder time trading, but probably not. I'm sure he will just continue doing trading/selling/screwing people over.

My vote is to IP ban him. If that's not what the Mod's want to do then I don't know what to say. It's obvious the guy knows this is here, he hasn't responded here or to any other of my many messages, he's obviously not going to. So why should he be able to frequent this forum?

dude file a theft report with your local pd man. It is an offense on what he did! but then again the offense happend over a month ago so investigations really wont take this case serious dude. Its plain allout theft

Try finding out any personal info on this :barf: P.O.S. cockaroach. That really sucks, I feel for you. Some others that have had bad luck with trades/sales have done well putting pressure on the thief’s (calling the cops, calling the thief @ home (and talking to their grandmother ;) ), calling them at work, etc. Pressure them on the spot. If its easy for the thief ( first crime), & they get away with it, whats to stop them from the second. And who knows when they will strike & who will be their next victim? Ask some fellow members if they can help track this P.O.S. down, if they have access to his personal information (phone #, address, whatever), or access to any data base, websites, software that can track the thief down. This is just an idea, may not be a solution, but I feel for your loss, I have been in your shoe and felt help less. I don’t like that feeling!

I posted his address in an above post earlier. I don't want to waste my time with the law.

I don't get it; why would someone want the world to know they are a scamming thief POS for stealing something like a knife?

Soon if you google his real name, or address, E-mail address, username or any combination and it will direct all to the Hall of shame.

Hope the guy never has to pass a background for employment purposes because any employer worth his/her salt will google a potential employee and bingo; BFC "Hall of Shame".

Sorry to hear about this BS Cole. I completely understand where you're coming from.
I don't think a thief should be allowed to roam the forums after pulling this shit.
I'm with ya on this one man. Ban the guy if he doesn't man up already!

Cole is a respected member here and he should not have to put up with this!:thumbdn:

this really sucks that this happened to you. i know i have done transactions with you and your communication/shipping was top notch.

i hate trading knives. it is always a very scary transaction for me.

Is Gbuck8823 also Gbuck8825?

I noticed this as well. Both accounts have less than 30 posts total, and the majority of posts appear to be trades or buys. Both also have e-mails that follow the form [username]atAOLdotcom.

Upon further inspection, Gbuck8823 had a bad trade some time back.

Hopefully we can get some more information, and, perhaps, an explanation when Gbuck8825 signs on.

lol, I cant tell you how many trades I got a mesage liek that, sorry bro, the wife forgot to mail it for me...? lol

anyway sorry to hear it Cole, hope it ends well..

I have actually had it happen where my my wife put her agenda ahead of mine and I had to explain the 1-2 day delay on my shipping. Wow, after reading this I wonder if that person(s) thought I was full of it. I have never rationalized lying about anything.

Cole,
I feel your pain, I too have just been through a similar ordeal that was drawn out nearly 5 months and was nothing but one lie after another. Don't let it get to you too much, Karma has its way of working things out in the end from situations like this.

Nah, you are kewl with the wife problem as long as it isn't followed with "I'll mail it first thing in the AM" and it's not mailed, or "I shipped it as soon as I realized my wife forgot but I lost the confirmation number" and all of this is followed by 10 days of absolutely no knife in the mail.

Then the wife excuse is BS!!!:D
