BAD DOG- The CR35

I may have missed the post where it was discussed but I’m curious about what happened to the swedge on these? The earlier pic showed the knife with it, later pics in production and the recent 5 available don’t have it though, CPK Mark CPK Mark , Lorien Lorien was it a change in design after completing that first one, possibly too much grinding to be adding swedges to all of them to make it feasible with time constraints?

Maybe the swedge will be an option on the production run 🤞

Here is something Mark posted in the other CR35 thread.

These, for the most part will be swedge less. I can take the grind up higher, and still have good real estate for satin flats

I like swedges because they look cool, create some taper and can make for a pointy point, but I think this knife can go either way. My feeling is that a swedge might unbalance it a little bit- with a fairly short blade and a design which calls for a neutral balance point, (as opposed to designing a slightly handle heavy hunting knife) keeping material up front might be the wise way to go

Man this is one stout knife! It’s thick, it’s stabby, and the handle locks it all in place. The handle length is pretty close to the DEK1 holding them side by side but it’s a much more compact overall feel with the CR35, like holding a small revolver in a way, you don’t expect the weight with the size. It has a more tactical feel to it also which is something that immediately stood out to me.
