Bad experience with Prometheus lights

Knife117,this is a moot issue now and like others have stated, your situation has been made whole by Jason.ypu have your funds,he has his blemished light. I have dealt with him only on one transaction, outside of the traditional channels in purchasing one "ready made Alpha". His communication was swift and courteous, shipping quick and everything else, including the light, flawless. He has a stellar reputation and his light is perhaps the best out of all the 100+ that I have, custom or stock,(yes, my addictions are beyond salvation)with the best beam I have ever seen.
This certainly seems an isolated incident and I highly doubt it was malicious.
Let it go.

I wasn't made whole by the maker. PayPal had to step in to get the refund. That's my issue. Just letting others know. 😊
 
I would have called if there was a contact number on the Prometheus lights website. Just email there.

I do know the whole story- at least according to Jason. Pretty sure you don't want that to be revealed.

So along with this vital info and the fact that you now claim that you would have called him, which I don't believe for one second, I also feel that Jason's "don't be a jerk" clause applies to you and that you are now nothing more than a troll.

You have not been appointed to be the savior for the flashlight industry to protect others from Jason- he is a big boy and I applaud him for not getting into this BF thread where this transaction did not happen.

For him to do that would dramatically increase the sales of popcorn while many other in this thread would just love to sit back and watch a fight- it would also get this already overblown thread quickly up to 10 pages with back and forth and much "pointless drama".

Is it enough now?

I definitely would have called after I never got an email response from Jason as a last ditch effort before involving PayPal.

Jason's don't be a jerk clause is horrendous. It's really a "even if I screw up, you better treat me with kid gloves because I got your money already so good luck" clause.
 
I hope Jason changes the "jerk clause" to the "knife117" clause.

Thank you for your comments. They have been very helpful in my decision to add True North Knives to my list of companies to never do business with.

I'm not here to take shots at anyone, although you are taking shots at me. I've only shared my experience with a company.

You claim to know what happened between me and Jason? How? Based on a PM from somebody who claimed to contact Jason? I never saw this supposed email exchange between Jason and the guy who contacted him about this thread. You're grasping at straws.

Wow, Neil. You are a class act 100%. Thanks for adding something constructive to the thread and helping me to determine where not to spend my $s in the future. Again, Neil, very classy.

I am not here to support knife 117. He could be a terrible customers looking to destroy a good company. Jason could have bent over backwards, or he cold have been a total jerk. I don't know.

What I do know is that knife117 had a bad experience. It was not with a knife, and not on this forum. He did post his side here, and Jason did not. He claims he had to get PayPal involved to get Jason to do the right thing. Sounds troubling to me, but I don't know the other side of the story. Jason supposedly has sent e-mails stating his side of the story, which apparently differ from knife117s version. Since Jason cannot be bothered to post here, I refuse to consider the second or third hand accounts of his side of the story.

Knife117 may not be in "the right" here, but I don't see him deserving of the vitriol that is being directed towards him.

That is just my opinion. YMMV.
 
Adult behavior would be good. Roping in a separate feud is out of order.

Agreed and I'll add we can do without the insults as well. We have a playground here for silliness and Feedback isn't it. I'm closing this thread for now. If there is any USEFUL information going forward, let one of the mods know and we will open this back up again.
 
If this childish behavior persists, we will stop asking for cooperation and simply start writing infractions accordingly. It seems that some here are more interested in acting out than actually trying to be of any real help. Don't be surprised when it happens.
