A transaction never took place, no money or items were exchanged.

The feedback you left for @Scott Dog has been deleted.
Good to know nothing matters in between. Only after cash changes hands. Looks like I’ll be fishing on sales posts going forward and the highest bid wins. Of course, only after I get paid.

No one said what the guy did was right. You just can’t leave feedback for someone you never had a transaction with. Feedback is to review transactions, not vent your emotions about someone skipping you in line. I can’t believe you’re still angry about this situation. Just let it go.

Kinda tired of people giving him the benefit of the doubt and making excuses for him or using conspiracy theories. Guess I just know how deals can be done now on this page. fishing expeditions are perfectly acceptable.

You missed the capital F in fishing!

Bait your hook and keep fishing, better luck next time!

I’m not angry anymore at the seller, he’s a scumbag and I’ve moved on. I’m shocked by the responses and what’s allowed to happens before cash changed hands. I didn’t realize this was eBay and the bidding system was acceptable.

That would be an auction type sale which is against the rules.
You can’t have it both ways. What stops someone from posting an item for very lower and getting mutiple ins, then messaging all the ins or/and getting get direct messages for offers?

You STILL don’t get it. People here just explained to you what they think might have happened or what miscommunications may have occurred. The guy you’re bashing isn’t a thief, you’re just butthurt you missed out on a knife that’s probably worth 2x what you were going to pay. That’s really what this is about. Anyway, I’m done here. Have a great Friday!

I doubt you’re done since it seems like you need the last word. Buddy I have over $100k worth of knives and deals from mutiple places, and I’ve never had someone do this to me, and if this occurred other places he would be chastised not honored like he is. Good to know the emotional maturity of the person trying to tell me I’m wrong when they use terms like “butthurt”. Don’t think I’ll be taking your wise “constructive criticism” to seriously. You have a great Friday too.

This right here. ^

The rules for leaving feedback and the Exchange are quite clear.

For members that choose not to abide by the rules, removal from the site is a simple matter… numerous members have been banned for leaving unwarranted feedback and running auction type sales.

Ok it won’t be an auction type sale.

This anntagonistic attitude of yours isn’t helping any. Nobody here is saying what this guy did was right. They are, however, offering alternative reasons why things might have gone down like they did other than your assumption that he’s a double dealing scumbag. Being angry at this seller is all well and good; taking your anger out on people trying to help calm the situation by offering different points of view is counterproductive.

As for the feedback, forum rules state you can only leave it when a transaction is completed - i.e., once payment is made. If you’re not happy with how things transpired ‘in between’, then you have the option to come here and inform people about what you consider to be the other party’s unacceptable behavior. That’s your recourse, it’s done, it’s been noted, now it’s up to everyone else to decide for themselves if they’ll ever do business with this guy. I’m not sure what else you want here.

This sums up the situation perfectly.

I done exactly that. Based on knowing his behavior is being allowed, it changes how I will do deals on here going forward. So I’ve accomplished what I’ve set out to. So this thread is over.

Love excuses, even more the ability to make
It right and won’t. Class act.
