BAD - Spydiezz - Buyer Beware!! - BAD

Hope this doesn't sound to retarded but is there a way the seller can purchase the proper box and have it mailed to the buyer?

Also, (sorry if I missed it) why not refund his money and get the knife back. I'm sure it would sell for close to the same amount. Might lose 10 or 15 bucks tops. Better than this shite fest. Peace out!

I cant believe the buyer got a negative feedback for not getting what he paid for, that stinks.

Let's clean up the underlying problem, then we'll got on that. It is BS. If the buyer pays on time, that's fulfilling his obligation. I had one knifemaker give me a positive iTrader rating as soon as I sent PayPal. I hadn't even gotten the knife yet, but I gave him my end of the bargain. (It is a NICE knife, too. :) )

Exactly. The buyer's responsibility is to pay promptly the agreed upon price for the item. Other than letting the seller know that the item arrived and is or isn't as described, the buyers completed their half of the transaction.

I bet if the knife were returned and the seller reposted without a box at the same price he would have a new buyer quickly.

If you advertise NIB, the box must be included.

If you advertise, new with no box there are a ton of buyers who would still jump for a TI Military.

Truth in advertising matters.............................alot

No surprises, no disappointments! How many times have we heard "the knife came in better condition than described".

I'm sure he relized it wasn't the right box before he sent it so he should have been up front about it. For some collectors a box and paperwork could definately be a deal breaker:eek:

Per Karda's instructions, I have posted to the Support forum to have the negative feedback corrected on my iTrader account. If that actually happens, I will be satisfied and consider this issue done as far as I am concerned.

I do not require any further action for Spydiezz, no refund, no box, end of story. My hope was to use the "court of public opinion" and the iTrader feedback as I believe it was intended, to regulate both positive and negative experiences in the exchanges.

Thats all there really is to it.

Honestly, it is not a NIB knife if its missing the box.

then it would be NWOB

Hello Everyone hope all is well

Just my 2 cents regarding the entire interaction. I have had 100's of spydies pass through my hands so therefore I have a liitle bit more knowledge than the average knife buyer when it comes to spydies.

1) Spyderco knives hold their value very very well. A lot of spydies actually go up in value, because of the below variables.

- limited Sprint run numbers
- Different steels / Handle materials
- Flavor of the month that doesn't do quite well, but when discontinued can command up to double or triple it's original price years later.

Overall when it comes to spyderco collectors the box is very important. 100% of the times you will get more money if you have the correct box that the spydie came with than if you didn't. Box and paperwork add a lot of value to spyderco knives.

IMO the buyer was in the right and the seller was in the wrong.

Okay So, The Box, CORRECT Box Should Have Been Sent With The Knife As The Knife Was Called NIB.
If The Knife Doesn't Have the Box It's Not NIB.
The Box Is Important To Some People.
First You Said You Made A Mistake Switching It, Then Said You'd Send It, Then Said You Lost It, Then Said You Do Not Have It And It Didn't Come With It.
Stop Lying.
If You Were Not Sending The Correct Box You Should Have Told Him So, If You Didn't Have The Box You Shouldn't Have Said You Did. And The Rambling Goes On.

Truth Is, It's Just How It Is. That's How Honest Transactions Go. And Being Spiteful And Leaving Negative Feedback For The Buyer Is Very Wrong And Ridiculous, He Did Nothing Wrong, He Paid Promptly, Completed His End, Received His Knife, Didn't Complain, Politely Told You That It Was The Wrong Box And Asked For The Correct Box.

You Said You Would Give It To Him And You Were Sorry For The Mix Up.

Whether He Sent The Caly 3 Box Out Right Away Or Not Is Irrelevant, Although You Should Have Got It, He Should Have 100% Received The Military Box First Since He Paid For It.

That's Just My Two Pennies.

Order has been restored to the universe... My improper bad feedback was removed by the Mods and I consider this issue closed. Thank you for you overwhelming support Bladeforums!!!

Good to see this one was resolved as it should have been (IMO). This is precisely the type of seller/trader I'd wish to avoid. I agree with buyer on all counts. The box isn't a worthless detail as some have implied--anybody who collects knives can empathize with the notion that the original boxes add value to the knife.
