Well, guys, huge thanks for all the info, but I just lost the opportunity to get the B&C I wanted. :(:D

But anyway,
i did sterling crosses
how did you inserted those crosses in the covers? Carving, or heating and pressing, or maybe burning out space for the cross? I am curious.

the work in progress pictures are in the modifications thread. the cross spots were carefully carved out.

I have finally got a 15 B&C! And a new question too: what does that loop made from? I mean the thing on the opposite to knife itself end of the chain, wich you put in a jacket button. Mine can be easily bent and it stays that way, so it feels like aluminum or something. What is that and why is that I wonder?

it might just be untreated steel but as you can see by the pictures they do put all of it through some sort of hardening process. Also maybe you are stronger than you thought

Well, I guess it is raw steel. I actually saw only pics of a bunch of loops, nothing more. Yeah, but the main point is that it stays bent, that's why I thought it's not steel. Might it be the same material as a bolsters, i.e. nickel silver?
