Bargain $10 26.5cm Australian Folder?

It's a shame - it sounds like its crap. i just ordered it and several of this guys other knives to combine postage before reading your posts. hope i don't regret buying them. i'll let u know what i think when they arive. guy is selling them as "FORSYTH" on ebay - says he's just starting a new company etc in australia. maybe he's full of crap maybe he's not but i hope they are ok. here's the pics that were posted for the other knives i baught, don't know if anyone cares buy anyways:

strangely enough the most common feedback they seem to be getting is along the lines of "wow its so sharp".... hope they turn out ok. it'll give me something 2 play with anyway.

That first knife, with the wooden handle and the traditional blade style, looks okay, but the rest is really crap.
 
There's no "probably" involved. There are objective standards whereby one can judge these things.
 
look mate - you've posted that they r crap 5 times. i understood what you meant in your first post "they look like garbage to me", stop trying to rub it in.
 
What do you care what I think? If you're going to keep posting more pictures of these things, you're going to get more feedback telling you that you've wasted your money.
 
mate, that first one with the wooden handle ( on this page ) looks alright, is that one 10 bucks too? l didn't look that hard at his site,
we used something like the knife in the second pic ( which was only a cheapie too ) to cut up and skin a sambar spiker last year, it did a better job than a couple of others so ya never know but l've lost it in the shed somewhere,
have you seen the other ebay sites in Tassie?
l've bought a couple of a bloke just out of Hobart..but they're a bit dearer too,

yeh there seems to be a few from tasmania. i baught a stayglow tinker swiss army knife and a stiletto from tasmania on ebay. i'll post a pic of them:

was very happy with the stayglow and pretty happy with the stiletto even though it was probably a bit overpriced ($30). the other knife is a leek. i love it.

the two knives in the top pic are coming together for $9.95. hopefully they'll go alright. phil can u not post more crap i'm sick of hearing from u.

I'll post my opinion if I wish to post it, thank you. I can't help it if you posted thinking we'd all rave about this great knife deal you thought you were getting, and now you're unhappy to be told that what you bought isn't really decent cutlery.

I guess you have to weigh functionality versus price, even on the cheap knives. For instance, shipping fees aside, I can't even begin to see this knife being a better value that a $30 Browning Ice Storm. Especially since I have disassembled two of my Ice Storms now and I know how they are built. That knife is a killer deal for $30. The fit, form and function of those knives is easily approaching triple what they cost.

Even the cheap <$20.00 Chinese/Asian knives www.bladeplay.com sells are pretty good deals. I have a lot of experience with some of them and they work pretty well for a "your life won't depend on it" cheap-o knife.

i have no problem with my knife. i have a problem with you saying over and over "its garbage", etc, paying out something i just baught. i appreciate other comments like "maybe you could try this instead.....", "doesn't look like it will hold a edge well but if u like its look it might be ok for decoration" etc, but when u repeatedly pay the shit out of something i am getting when asked to stop i take it personally. you seem to feel that as long as its "your opinion" it doesn't matter what u say. u try shit like that 2 ppls face n u won't b so well off.

You posted the pictures hoping to have people tell you they were great. Many people told you they were not. I posted in reply just as did several other people. Then you posted more pictures, and I replied to those pictures (and even pointed out that there was at least one knife that looked okay). You responded by becoming absurdly and childishly insulting for no other reason than you seem to be upset that you're not getting the responses you originally wanted.

There's nothing I've said in this thread that I wouldn't say to someone's face.
