Bargain $10 26.5cm Australian Folder?

I got an email along the lines of they hadn't been able to check emails for a while and had heaps built up - would check them when they have the time.
 
Don't worry about the mall ninja, he really is too entertaining to ignore though.
As for the knives, everyone starts somewhere, my first blades looked pretty similar and once I found what I liked I kept going in that direction.
For cheap blades, a couple to try are opinel and frosts, the frosts are a high quality fixed blade, search for mora on google, its the name of the style.
It looks like you like folders, Spyderco makes some excellent blades, I would rather have one spyderco tenacious for 30 bucks then 3 of the original for sure, the only thing is you should be careful, once I got a quality knife it was no looking back, you may need a second job.:D
Good choice with the stayglow tinker, I love mine but I find it loses it's glow too quick.
Props on that 110 giveaway, you will really like that blade.
Also a word of advice about the switchblades, they have a wow factor but really if it's illegal don't bother messing with them, there's too many cool
legal blades out there. You will see what I mean when you get the buck.

thanks - it is very difficult resisting the temptation to convert the knife to a switch - i'll try my best. I can't wait for the Buck, hopefully it gets here next week sometime.

as to spyderco's - i don't know if they are really my style... i like thinner blades with sharp tips... ie. leek, stilletto, buck 110, ti-lite. Lots of the spiderco blades seem to be very 'tall'. I suppose i will have to get one eventually, maybe an endura, hopefully not for a few years yet.... $ = :)
 
I would not recommend Rustic forge. I ordered a knife from there on Sept 1st and 2 knives on Sept 19th and paid straight away and have not recieved any knives or replies to my emails. Looks like I have been done.

from what i hear they are generally good - just have had some type of issues and have been unable to access the internet for a while. think they are legit.

Yeah thats correct, they are completley legit. They are also much more than an online knife dealer, Jdee must be having some fairly insurmountable problems at the moment, I truly hope everything is ok.
 
They may well be having problems but they are a business and have not contacted me regarding the money I have paid or the knives I have ordered and its been nearly 10weeks so I naturally think the worst. I hope all is ok.

That's EXTREMELY unusual. I know the guy is disabled and has health problems and he has been having lots of network problems. If he hasn't sent what you ordered something must be very wrong.

I'll see if I can find out anything.
 
Thanks I would appreciate that. I dont know him and these two orders are the first time I have ordered from him so I dont know what to think.

I think the knives are neat and if you like them that is all that matters and for so little $$ you really can't go wrong in my opinion. Sure they are not collectors items but who cares. No reason to be a jerk. Use and abuse them and have fun. I certainly won't be posting anything else here. I'll go to other forums that are friendlier and more mature. :cool:

Wow, somebody didn't last long :D

In addition to the 110 and sheath, I found a buck 110 box that you guys could ship it in :). Then it would be just like new.
 
the buck 110 has just arrived. i love it. accidently poked my toe with it though - that hurt lol customs had been through it interestingly enough.
 
That's great to hear :thumbup:. That was actually faster than I thought it would be since you literally live on the other side of the world :eek:. What time is it there right now?
