Hmmm, Blade North in high school gym near Charlie? I'm there. And then we could all go back to Charlie's house for a sleep over and French toast.

BFC spelled out in Barlows.
(OK, I'll admit this is pretty weird. I think I better increase my medications or take a nap. Maybe both)

Naps are good, Rob!!
But I like your Barlow creation anyway!<g>

I love your knife collection and hearing you speak in person about them. But that French Toast with homemade whipped cream and fresh strawberries ain't too bad either.

Mike just loves him 'cause he has a cute butt. I'm just sayin'... :p

I love him because of his knowledge and knives. Maybe he will leave me some.
Jim

Butt, butt:eek:; boy did I step into it:o!
Thanks, Gus, but I'm just a student like the rest of us. In fact I learned a lot about Jim Parker's legacy in the last couple of days. Suffice to say, I've got a couple more knives for my "bogus-board" for next year's Oregon show! Groan!
So back to Barlows, I'm glad you'all (you'd think I was a Southern gentleman) like those Daddies!!

Speaking of Barlows, I just got off the phone five minutes ago with Don Morrow who informed me that this beauty (CPM-154, Bone Stag) will be in the mail to me tomorrow :

Yep, I have learned a lot over in that thread the past few days, they keep saying there, "READ THE KNIFE'', but all I ever read is, Buy Me.:D:D

Charlie please post pictures of your Bogus Knives. Although not related to Jim Parker I considered him a friend and respected his vast knowledge about all cutlery. Without Jim our hobby would not be where it is today.

Charlie,

Yup, what I have been reading about Jim has been eye opening. I am originally from Chattanooga and had know Jim for years as had my dad. My experiences with him were always fair and quite worthwhile, but I stayed away from the remakes. Dad had warned me there was another side that he never showed us. ;)

D.Parker, I will post the PKCS knives in another thread, when they come back in the mail.

Blues, that Barlow looks great! I like the filework on the liners. It seems more logical to me, than on the springs, where indents can cause weak spots IMO. What is the method of decoration on the bolsters? It looks like etching.
