D.Parker, I will post the PKCS knives in another thread, when they come back in the mail.

Blues, that Barlow looks great! I like the filework on the liners. It seems more logical to me, than on the springs, where indents can cause weak spots IMO. What is the method of decoration on the bolsters? It looks like etching.

Charlie, Don's wife has recently begun doing some engraving and she and Don told me that this was the first Barlow they had done.

If you look on Dan Delavan's "Plaza Cutlery" site, there are a couple of Morrow Trappers (single and double blade) which are listed (one or more were sold I believe) featuring some of the engraving as well.

Thanks for the good words to all. I'm usually stand-offish on file work let alone engraving but this knife (especially the scales and blade selection) just grabbed me. It has, imho, the best features of a stockman in a nice handsome package. (Don told me he hates pen blades. :p)

I'd posted this one in a separate thread a few months ago but might as well incorporate it here.

B-b-boy, your Barlow bunch is blossoming Blues!
Nice to have the artist's first engraving effort too;

Well, first engraved Barlow anyway.

I think I've given away more Barlows than I now have but I'm happy with the balance. :cool:

C'mon now, Jim, don't be a tease. Open that baby up and let us see the blade. ;)

Mail lady delivered this one today. Tang is marked Case Tested XX but there is no mark on the bolster. Did Case make some with plain bolsters?

Great lookin' Barlow Rob...and a terrific photo. They sure have nice mail ladies in Tejas. :)

Rob, they made both Testeds, and XXs without bolster signatures. Yours was made for Case by Utica, IMO!!

Thanks Charlie, appreciate the info. (Dang, I love this place :D) I really do like this Barlow. It has been anointed as the main carry Barlow, at least until the next one comes along.

it's a beauty! was my grandads... well worn, sharp and snaps with authority:D
steel liners and cattle bone scales, excuse the hot spots on the blade, etc:(
doesnt do it justice
cheers
