Howdy folks! Step right up! On the heels of the successful runs of the Yellow Handles, the Fixed Blades, and the Trapper Shows, not to mention the Congress lovers show, we are now opening the Barlow Show! Well, maybe it's more a show and tell. So dig into the cigar boxes and pockets and trot out your Barlows, from the cheap to the fancy!

I'm just gonna toss my small set out in one pic and I'll let the rest of you just tease us with a little here and a little there.

At the nine o'clock position and going clockwise:
1) AG Russel Cam-2 Grandaddy
2) Remington Musket-1,bone-handled, Daddy
3) Case XX (pre-USA) a fine gift from a friend with a winding story. (Thanks again, Amigo)
4) Rough Rider fake turtle ;)
5) Another bone-handled Musket-1 (the one I started carrying)
6) Schrade Schrimshaw - 1983
7) Boker Tree Brand - this is the one that got wet in storage.
8) Finally a Delrin Remington Musket-1

(Note: All the Daddy/Grandaddy Barlow are Camillus made, but then most, if not all of you knew that already.)

That's all I got to show. So post away gang! If our past virtual shows have been an indicator, this oughta be good.

Nice, I am not a huge Barlow fan, but I do like the one I have.

New for 2006 Case 6.52009 Bonestag with Spearpoint main blade.

Let the fun begin...Amos you started it off just right, I love any and all with something scribbled on the bolster..A very nice set of Barlows..

LC - I have a Schatt & Morgan single blade that looks similar to your bone, now I need to dig out a pic or two to try to keep up...

Thanks,

Sunburst

Nice one TLC. Case has always made some nice ones.
A Barlow is the quintessential work knife, inexpensive for someone who works it, and themselves, hard!
I love them for their simplicity, and variety. Bolster stamps, a great marketing detail, make them display nicely too! My soft spot for these guys has cost me over the years, but not as much as you might think. Diligence will get you a great collection at reasonable money! Here are a bunch;

I don't have much to share, but share I will...:D

Great set of old workers there Charlie! I can just imagine them all being together in the pockets of a bunch of farmers at a tobacco auction or some other ag type gathering. Okay, so I romantacize a bit.

Sunburst, if you ain't gonna have a lot, that is sure the lot to have! Fine looking knives. I especially love that Winterbottom bone. I could probaby carry a single bladed barlow. Those look like they would carry well. I just find the regular two blade lays heavy in my pocket. Oddly enough, the large, single blade Daddy barlow carries pretty good in jeans.

I am tucking my tail and cowering in the corner...Wow, some pretty powerhouse stuff there waynorth... :)

It's just a matter of focus, sunburst. You have more barlows, and NICE ones, than I have trappers (zero), swing-guards (nil), lobsters (none) etc. etc. And you're undoubtedly taller and better looking!

Well, it's kind of barlowish and a little Schgelish. PJ Tomes 52100 and elk. I do like barlows and have a couple but Waynorth, your collection is really something.

Serious knife Thomason.BTW,my only Barlow comes from this guy(Thomason),Thanks!!

Leave it to Thomason to have a custom to match the oldies! Nice knife; W. Scagel would have liked it!

Wow-some really great looking Barlows-I especially like the S&M Barlows there sunburst.I only have 1, a later model Cripple Creek:

Great collection, Waynorth. I was surprised to see the one stamped "NEW HOLLAND" on the bolster. This one

Colonial2.jpg

is a Colonial barlow that originally had "NEW HOLLAND" printed on the scale in red. The printing has worn off. (I know it's a genuine barlow because it says so on the bolster :D)

I assume that both knives are giveaways from the New Holland farm machinery company. Is yours made by Colonial also, and do you know the approximate age?

iSaur

It's stamped"KUTMASTER (over) UTICA, NY (over) USA",
iSaur. Maybe someone who knows Kutmasters cam comment on the age. I suppose New Holland contracted different cutleries, at different times.

It's all perspective waynorth!!! :D I will pass on the $2.35 offer but I can hook you up with that winterbottom for $56.00

Well, you're taller anyway;) ! Better looking; I don't think so:eek: :D !
$2.36??:p :D :D :D

Here's the only old barlow I have. It's an Ulster. I think it's an early one.
