Great test - thanks for sacrificing two very cool blades for science!!
However, I wasn't surprised by the results at all. Not because I expected the ESEE to take less damage, but because I fully expected the knife that was on top being hit by the hammer to win. Just seems to be a matter of physics to me. First, you have the force coming from the top, and probably have some hard to see "micro" bounces turning the hammer and ESEE into a mini "jackhammer". Secondly, you didn't have the BK2 securely in the vice and it would lose ground further enhancing the "jackhammer" effect.
Great experiment that could potentially put this "king of the hill" contest to rest, but it is only 50% complete. You need a 2nd video showing the BK2 on top and the ESEE on the bottom.
Seeing the other half of this test would put it to rest in my mind who was king of the hill.
As of this moment, the jury is still out...
I did flip them. Made no difference. The ESEE just stood there and the Becker kept losing ground.

He said he did it and the Becker still lost.
For the price, the BK2 held up well thats for sure. Other knives in that price range would have taken a dance across the floor on the first few whacks.
