No problem, Kinda figured that so I tossed in that terror monkey version :-) I'm in on the Ratweiler myself :-)

^^^^ it almost seems impossible !!!!! :-)

250ish judging from the last few, if its the plain SFNO i'm safe, if its the NMSFNO I'm hosed. Really like the longer blade.

+Many regarding the NMSFNO. Through trial and error (buying a few Busse/kins in search of) I'm thinking that'll be the one for me to fill the medium blade slot.

SFNO, is an easy pass for me......the AMS, if it comes close to the BGAD price and is .155 thin, then I will likely jump on that one.

Got to say after skinning my deer this year with the RS and still being able to easily slice computer paper afterwards, sr101 seriously impressed me. Takes a damn good edge and holds it for any task I demand, but oh I love me some Infi.....bring on more Infi.

I'm so ready for a new line up, this every week stuff is too hard to keep up with.

Yep. That sure sums it up for me. From knives the size of the RatManDu on down, SR101 is my go-to steel. And for knives bigger than the RatManDu, it's always a serious contender. In my personal estimation, no Busse alloy has a better price/performance ratio than SR101 has.

I can't wait to see the specs and the price on the BGAMS! :)

Good to know. I had just asked that sort of question in another thread. May pass on the SFNO and get the mean street but I havent decided. I was looking to get a Infi chopper hopefully a combat grade. Not sure if I should hold out and save my money for an infi offering, or just get the BGSFNO tonight. This will be my first Busse. Decisions decisions.

If you can afford an INFI chopper, my recommendation would be to get the BGAMS now and the INFI chopper later. In my experience, the bigger the knife, the more the advantage swings to INFI. No matter how big the blade gets, however, SR101 is never very far behind.

"The offerings look nice but I have two SFNOLE and one custom shop outlaw that have never been used. Can't at all justify a 4th one"

I could take a LE or two off your hands if it helps your situation

has anyone every stripped the coating off an SR101 blade? I'm pretty new to the steels. Is stripping SR101 a no-no?

sorry if that's a stupid question.........

No, all knives should be stripped, People will tell you it provides extra protection against rust, and it does, but if you take care of your knife it will be fine, SR 101- is good stuff

True that. I had the equivalent of a RatManDu LE courtesy of norcalblacktail before Swamp Rat released their factory version. Here's a pic of mine:
