Bawanna gets a new puppy

LoL Kron. One of my best friends in Germany had an Irish Wolfhound pup. I do believe they all think they are lap puppies. Fortunately for Bawanna it appears his might be a lot smaller and may stay in the smallish range. I am betting she has Bawanna trained already! She looks like such a cute bundle of energy and mischief I am pretty sure he just can't be very stern when she does puppy type terror. I bet any discipline she gets comes from Mrs. Bawanna.

She really does look like that Wolfhound but ain't no way she's gonna get that big. I like big dogs, I wanted a Rottie but this little girl is perfect.
Even if it is like a baby that can walk from birth and follows you around and wants to be held or played with. Shadow or Clingy would be a perfect name but it looks like Daisy is it.

I know she's not happy today at home with nobody to play with. Hopefully she just takes a long nap, could be a long active evening.

Congratulations. I just had to put down my English Pointer and it raises my spirits to see such a little rascal enter your life.

The timing was very good for us. We lost our Beagle first part of the year and I didn't see a replacement in the future.
She definitely fills a void. Being dogless was in some ways kind of nice. One less thing. But a family needs a dog. I was really surprised how excited my son was to get this little cutie. Mom likes her alot too.

Good fit. Another dog will come along for you Shann, I can feel it in my cells. I think they are just like HI knives. They find you, you don't need to find them.

Bwanna!
I am sure the new boss in the house has created some damage by now?
Please bless us with some pics of your chewed up Italian tasseled loafers. ;)

She makes a valiant effort but her sharp little teeth haven't been too destructive so far. She does drag shoes around and really likes pulling the liners out of the wifes shoes. She nawed on my cell phone pouch pretty good sitting in my lap.

I'll take some pics if anything noteworthy happens.

Been a bit remiss.....
What a little cutie and fine rescue, Bawanna.
I'm sure she'll do as much and more for you as you do her, dogs are funny that way.
Dogs are some of the best people I've ever known. If I had to go and choose between having a human friend or a dog friend..either or.
I'll always choose to be with the dog everytime. When someone decides to tell me I'm going to the dogs, I always take it as a compliment and say thank you!

Before anyone asks me, yes... Beanie is still the same as last time I posted. No better, no worse. We are still thankful it is so.
My only regret is that I'm not rich enough to afford him every bit of medical care I would expect as a human.
I've been told I'm stupid for thinking this way, but if I had a million dollars and It needed to be spent on his care, I would honestly gladly give it.
He gives his care and love...all he's got... to me and my family freely.

You are truly right. I can't believe how quiet our house is. Our little pointer filled the whole house with her energy and her love. Not to mention her howling for biscuits. You are right about the dogs, they find us when we need them.

karda I know exactly how you feel, I went into debt fighting an incurable blood disease that was extremely rare in my pet cat-- ended up spending 8000 for several surgeries and hospital stays, she did die and they vet donated all of our money to a research foundation because her disease was so unstoppable.
In the end we all do everything we can for our family if a soul is present, and I think that what is necessary tends to come to pass, even if its painful. So good luck with beanie, you are getting the time that you asked for.

its nice to see new life around at the same time as the waning is present(bawanna puppy), also could not agree more about dogs, or animals in general, pets r best.

A buddy of mine's 100lb Rhodesian Ridge back ate his cell phone! My one liner to him was, So, does he have a roll over plan? :D

My Beagle got hold of my hearing aid one night. She didn't eat it but she chewed it into worthlessness that set me back 1700 bucks to replace. She looked like she felt bad about it so I tried not to be mad.

The guy at the hearing machine store got a great laugh out of it. What price comedy I guess.

Hehe, we are a dog free household right now too having lost our American Eskie a month or so before I found this forum. We have chosen to not actively seek out a new dog because of some of the things going on in our lives. But when our new dog finds us we will indeed be ready enough. I can't say I miss the chewed up items. But that was as Bawanna points out a small price to pay for the love and entertainment. I am one of those people who will go broke paying for healthcare for them just like any 2 footed member of my family. I know a number of people who think that dogs are "JUST" pets and wouldn't have the slightest qualm about having them put down if they had a health problem, but I just don't get that concept. I genuinely LIKE dogs, where as I can usually stand most people :P

Hey Bawanna! My pup redeemed himself today! He brought home his first rabbit!
Warning: Graffic wabbit!

e444996c8be97fe5de1a849de4186eb6

He ate out a good chunk of it then I chopped it up with my AKB and cooked it up for all the dogs. A few weeks ago he brought home an antler shed. Not a big one but hes on the right track:D

OH MAN... Even with dogs everyone wants to teach them to share <shudder> I used to hate it in school when the teacher would catch me chewing gum and ask if I brought enough for the whole class. My answer was always, "why? Don't they all have jobs like I do to earn my OWN money to buy my OWN gum? "

I can be civil if I must, but why should I share my hard earned wabbit with the other mutts that sit on the porch whinning? LOL. Now when not "forced" to be generous I can indeed be very generous. I just hate the mandatory expectancy aspect of it.

i hate being forced to hand the government (of any flavour) my hard earned cash so they can give it away to the indolent 'entitled' so they can buy drugs, or to foreigners who hate us and laugh at us behind our backs for being dumb enough to give them free money.

sharing the kill with the pack, however, is just right and proper.

sad fact is that most of your tax money goes to pay for roads, services you utilize indirectly , and the vast majority of benefit in the modern society goes to the people with resources and wealth more often than not only earned by right of birth rather than any effort on their part.

the poor, the immigrant, etc all pay more in taxes technically than any wealthy person, as the poor person spends a good 15 percent of total income on taxes depending on the local sales tax. also without poor people to do slave like labor for the wealthy, there would be no upper class at all.

Stand together, or die alone. ( you are not entitled to keep your tax money in the best nation on earth, it is the very very very very least you can do to be part of such a stable society. You should be proud that you earn enough to contribute, and not dismiss the struggles of those without as much wealth as you.)

I did warn you I was a liberal :D!

it takes a group effort to truly have any advancement in society.

on the dog thing I am pretty sure they are the reason humans started getting into agriculture and animal husbandry-- so sharing is critical to the pack!

My cat has brought in 4 baby rabbits so far. One survived to no doubt be caught again. One died despite my valiant efforts to save it and two were DOA.

For short term help of those in need or in a rough patch, I'm all about help, for those on the dole from birth and using the system via offsprings, etc, your on your own. They can have the dead baby rabbits.

Same for those who sneak in and never supported the system nor plan too.

I'll stand alone or in very small groups.

Ha! I wrote up a big post just now and with my finger on the send button lightning struck the back of the building and took the power off. Back up now but i aint writin it up again! Ive put into the system since before i was of legal age to work and continue to do so. All im gonna say now is dogs and chickens got it figured out and people dont! Who is smarter?

just too many people, after the black death the value of the serf went way up and it formed the first middle class :D also all balanced systems tend to imbalance-- there was a study on Israel , it started as essentially a fully socialist state with kibbutz and communal farm living-- over 60 years the wealth gathered in the hands of very few, this always happens, never fails.
