LOL, The difference Kron is the pack would also be sharing their kills with me, see sort of a team effort. Also once a packmember doesn't contribute they take themselves off so as not to impact the viability of the pack, not something that humans tend to recommend.

Unfortunately for Gehazi's vision of how it should work. I have lived in small town LA. I know much more about "the system" and how it really works than anyone would want believe me. I can give details if needed but since this is a nice friendly group we will just say it does NOT work the way it was originally intended, nor do roads and infrastructure get maintained at even 1/10th the amount they get funded via taxes. For instance the gas tax in this state I am in right now is 38.5 cents per gallon. If all of that was used every year we would be resurfacing our roadways (supposedly the item this tax is for) on the average every 6 years. I know that major roads in the largest cities throughout the state haven't been repaved in the 20+ years I have been living in this area and I am sure the majority of them haven't been repaved since they were originally grated. Now, shall we speak of the additional line items of taxes supposedly used to pave those very same roads. For instance part my real estate taxes is supposed to go to "paving local roads" hmm isn't that what the state and local gas tax..oh and the fed tax are also supposed to be for but arent used for? Not a single bridge in this state has been maintained on the recommended schedule which is why we had one fall into a river recently fortunately no one was killed. But this brought up a point. Where was all the money raised for infrastructure going? Why if you actually look at the biennial budget of this particular State almost 43% of the money goes to social programs. And yes, I consider paying any group of people to not work a social program. Even those farmers who get paid to not grow anything. So some people might consider that over-reach. I do not as with the advance of technlogy and crop rotation there is no need to let fields lie fallow anymore. And with the amount of starving people around the world INCLUDING our own country who should be using the "safety net" but they can't because of the habitual system abusers I mentioned knowing too much about above that currently use it to support their nefarious activities suck up all the money available and then some. It is immoral to pay farmers to not produce food to maintain artificially high prices for wheat and other grain. Nah. Sorry Gehazi. We will have to agree that we both LOVE HI khuks and that we have some other differences of opinion :) but neither of us will change the other's mind because we don't have the other's experiences.
Ndog, lets just say, humans might be "smarter" but they have a tendancy to over think things and focus on the wrong things in my not so humble opinion. :D
 
the largest recipients of social programs are pension funding for police and fire fighters and other public service workers who I admit are over funded past retirement. pensions really baffle me as I only really get what I make, not part of the investor class , don't understand paying someone huge amounts after they retire when federal social programs cover that. my experience is of being in a very small town that has a very low cost of living, so I can understand I may not see what you see, as I think the smaller a community is the more able it is to properly manage corruption etc. I am also on the eastern half of US , near memphis-- not in memphis mind you, as it is a hellish cloaca of a city, but all cities and all gatherings of people become hellish eventually. I think the more over populated a place the more severe the corruption. california and the west coast I think has a higher population than the east, but I have no idea :D--- but far more money is given away to rich men than to poor people, farm aid does not benefit any "small time' farmers, pretty much every politician( in tennessee) everywhere( i go) owns farmland that is subsidized.

corruption should be considered high treason and an executable offense.( for people stealing money improperly that you mention)

Wow this thread is turning bad, thought it was about Bawanna's new pup, not political views or personal economic views. Coming from an over funded retired police officer, I am not going to get going, but persons who never walked a mile in your shoes should think before they spew.
 
Most of your pension and mine is what we've paid in to it ourselves all along. We contributed and at least in my case it's not nearly enough. I don't foresee retirement anytime in my future, perhaps even my life time. The SS I've paid in since I was a teen I'll probably never see, distributed to the free loader 47%ers.

We'll get spanked if we talk politics which is mostly what all this free ride stuff is. Look up Bidens going away package. Makes me throw up a little bit in my mouth.
 
that is my point, you don't feel like you unfairly earned the portion you put in-- I am just saying I am glad to pay a small part of the pensions of police and fire etc and all other social services and programs-anyone who works pays for his own ss and work compensation-- police are a socialist ideal. lol and its only a problem if someone takes offense, nobody really has any reason to take offense at the opinions expressed--- pugs and other LEO included, my statement was meant to point out how much you get paid out of taxes and the fact that we all consider the service necessary and the money spent a good use of money taken from us. and I was just responding to the idea that communal living is bad, when in fact it is necessary and good ( dogs prove this better than most, as they are endurance hunters like us, and we naturally work together )

I love the fact that i can start a business and not be extorted because of effective police--and would gladly pay more!

How about this, lets get back to the puppy not politics on this particular thread, unfortunately im somewhat linguistically challenged and my response would be somewhat vulgar and would most likely lead to me getting myself in trouble, so I will refrain. There is always the wine and cheese section here on the forums where the discussion of politics and economics can be discussed. Sometimes its better to keep your views to yourself, I do not know what you do in your life nor is it my business to know, but as I said unless you have walked in my shoes and have seen and done half of the things I have, you should think before you speak. I dont feel I unfairly earned anything, and I have earned and deserve everything I get for doing my job.

Now you see why we have a POLITICAL forum and why all political topics/commentary is required to stay in that forum.
The W&C forum is also not the place to discuss these things. There is a political and a current events forum for those that are inclined to discuss such things.
I don't have a problem talking generally and slightly about religion and politics as it pertains to khukuri and this particular forum.... but feelings and opinions need to be tempered and politely expressed. Conversely is also true. I don't want to have to be moderating hurt feelings over passing political remarks.

LoL, seriously, How is the sweet thing? is she still your shadow? I am betting she won't get over that, unfortunately. She will always want to be near you all the time and in years ahead she probably won't even know consciously why but it will still be there. I am so glad she found her place in your family. Great weather in the evenings here lately though. Take a khuk and cut some sticks for throwing and teach her to fetch, fun for both of you.
 
@pugs I think very carefully about everything I say, type and do, and its why I have total confidence when I say it-- your offense at my words, is your own problem not mine, nobody said you did not earn what you get, I only contend the rest earn it as well, and before saying" how dare the government take from me" we should think about the fact that it does in the end, serve us all. I own a private utility pugs, and sell propane. I can only do that because of the roads other people built, the laws other people enforce, the pipes other people keep clear, all the things that a civilization does is only possible because we are all doing it together.

@ thread I apologize for responding to a political statement about sharing as I saw it, was inappropriate for this thread, but as it is the off topic part of the blade forum, I do not feel totally out of sorts for commenting in the way I did. The only reason this is an issue is because I happen to have a hobby that is mostly populated by people who believe the opposite from me on almost every level :D , but this is only a problem if people take my political beliefs personally-- my beliefs in politics and religion are integral to my being, to say I am without them in my mind when I talk about anything is silly, even when talking about dogs and civilization, had I known it would become "an issue" I of course would have never stated anything in the first place. I have nothing but respect for all LEO and other social service persons , as well as the military, as it is the reason we enjoy such market security.@pugs I felt I was supporting you rather than offending you with my statement, just shows how ones perception can differ from another.

@dogs -- very few things on earth are as good as dogs, and I really think we can't overstate their value to human development and civilization.

Thats the beauty of being in America, we are all entitled to our opinions and what we say, lets just say we differ and be done with it, as nothing but bad will come of it.
 
Shes a cutie for sure! Ill send her some rabbit jerky next time Otis comes home with one! Could be squirrel jerky tho?
