BCCI forum??

I joined over there a year or two ago and at first there was some good activity but then some new members were posting pictures of non Buck Knives and some fakes. Those posts were also on fb and other pages and didn’t get taken down for a good while. That rubbed me the wrong way and I bought it to their attention and stirred the pot. After some back and forth on why knives other than Buck were being show cased on a Buck Collectors forum and the arrogant attitude of the offending poster being brushed off I decided to not go back. It seems to me that whoever was monitoring the site was a bit lax on keeping it cleaned up and I just didn’t get the sense of loyalty to the brand. After all it is the Buck Collectors Club forum.
 
Well, as I see it any group is only as effective as its membership.A handful of people give their own personal time to keep the club going,however the executive members can't do everything
it really is up to all members to give a little to keep things interesting.
 
I didn't even know their was a Buck collectors club when I joined BF. Maybe Buck could include some info in each knife sold. Like the warranty card.
 
Is the club going to post the 2019 catalog on the aite?

He had a way o getting to some o the " newbies" he had other names what got him banded in past ... this last time...
He did it in a much less horrific piss ya off word play... he was - well digging up lota old posting on me and others generly under learn stuff...
Fer as i was concerned slighty ... ugh... unsetteling dat he seem to dig up a heck of a lot of my old post...
BUT PERFECTLY WITH IN RULES! Dat and he was still some what combative but this lastime a tad (and only a little tad) less on a dang combative posture. Tho not my fav poster i kinda did not understand why he got band.
But this forum needs to be toleratrnt o others ... hell u was well known to joump on any one speaking badly o buck fer any reason...
But dont forget HE is a bcci collector and did go to the 20tg and 25th meetings at postfalls and at least one blade show...
Like as not he is still ghosting this forum and will at sometime be back on here ....
But i thinks , now dat i cant use me left arm much dat i will follow here more offten and post more ifn i can get pictures on here ...

Apparently, you didn't read what he was posting on other parts of the forum. He wasn't just posting on the Buck forum. What got him banned is what he said in the Whine and Cheese forum. He said some purdy nasty things, fighting words, about everyones, including the moderators, Mother's and Wives....It was BAD!! He was banned immediately and forever...

On his posts, he would even argue with himself. On one of his posts, he posted over 60 times and all it was was contradicting himself and arguing with anybody that posted on his post. It was ridiculous.

IMO, we didn't need that type of person here...
 
Glad I missed all of that..When a thread gets confrontational I stop reading it.
The best part of the BCCI website is the back newsletters and the special project lists. I go back again and again to look up odd 112's and get a better understanding of the models timeline for radius,stag,customs and the old Custom shop and special projects. I'm STILL learning too! A recent example was the 432 Wrangler special project 112..Birch was the wood. If you are serious about collecting any particular model there is gold in them old pages! One thing I would love to see added to the sight is in depth interviews with old employees like Leroy Reamer, Wild Bill Cody and others who were there in the early history of Buck. Day to day life in the old Custom shop would be of particular interest to me.

I think maybe BCCI should collaborate with this forum (Manufacture/Buck) as there is more traffic/exposure here. I think there are a lot more buck collectors than are in the BCCI. I can see where some instances might be nice place for members only, but you see how that's working.
Personally I prefer the forum format here much over FB.
 
I don't have FB and don't want it, BCCI has a link to this forum...

I also use the Dealer/price catalog section, very good info....

You know, I'm trying to remember how I found out about the Buck Collector's Club. I think I joined in the late 80s. There used to be an ad, a little bigger than a postage stamp, in the back of one of the magazines I read. Maybe American Rifleman or Blade?
 
I try to login once a day over there but i either skipped a few days or saw your posting and had no answer or knowledge so didn’t post on your inquiry :(

I agree ... like yowser i had no idea dat he wasa sassing mods and talking to his self... yep glad he is gone
