Interesting theme that seems to happen every so often. About a year ago when photopuckit gave forums the shaft I made a number of posts about the big 3 (BF, BCCI, FB) and how to preserve. My worry was the pictures and written knowledge were out of the hands of BCCI. Photos could be lost over night, Old threads with much history could be locked down/deleted by user, etc. There is no one good solution, imo.
However, we as a club do have control over the BCCI website but I doubt it will ever get the traffic this forum has.
I'll offer a few suggestions: (BCCI website exclusives)
The suggestion of past employee interviews is a great idea.
Web specials and blems be offered at the BCCI site first.
Yearly catalogs be at BCCI site 1 week prior to publish.
We all need to archive rare pictures and info over there.
Myself included, we aren't getting any younger ;)

All excellent ideas. There was a time years ago when a club member could get his name on a list to be notified about build outs in advance of the public offerings, don't know what ever happened to that.
It does seem to take a while for the dealers catalogs to come up on the website but this is the kind of thing that is done by volunteers who also have more important commitments, family, home, bussiness etc.
Archiveing pictures and information we have collected is a great idea and much has already been collected there.
And yes I am also past my best before date.

There are more options coming for the club. The Damascus Vantage was a great knife for club members only. Plus the great discounts.

Buck of the month might of been a great idea for the club. I just don't know if they would sell out.

I agree with all that.

Throw in a random factory find or custom on a random day and we all would probably check in there more often which would lead to more browsing and posting.

Well just giving the club members the first notice ( lead time of a few days or a week) before a all out notice. If i even understand the Buck of the month program. Exclusives and blems would be cool too?
