BCCI New Website

Yes, I cannot login either as it doesn't recognize my user name or password. No problem I'll give it more months as they have been working on this for years. As others said with everything being in pdf files makes it not so appealing. DM

Ok folks lets show a little confidence. The person who developed the "beginning" of the website is on a business trip for a week. John Foresman will work the website when he gets back from Blade Show. What I have learned is you will likely have to put your original codename and password manually, even if your computer remembered you data , you will have put it in the new system of the new website. Some of the choice's on the member home page are not populated yet. They are going to work on that. The chat room is working but it is a little different than this forum style.

On another front, the BCCI is setting up a Facebook page. Type in Buck Collectors Club.

I get the same but than I hit the back button and it shows me as logged on but all the info is not there.

Yes, it's the same for me??? Not able to able to enter, chat, information, nothing. I don't really want to enter a New password. OK, I'll wait longer. DM
 
As I stated. some of the password protected programs are not yet working, I just went in with my old password and name but I had to type it in.

Yes, I've been Typing it in numerous ways. It's just still not up and running trouble free. Glitch free. Please, bear with us during this time of technical difficulties as it may take Some time to work out the bugs in the site. DM

For me when I try to sign in using my username and pass code that I know works
it does say incorrect password but then I back click the page with the error notice
"thats the little left facing arrow in your toolbar" then just click on one of the fourm headings
and your in . It works for me . Good luck .
 
Cool thanks and I'll look into this and finally join BCCI after I finish a chore at home. Looking forward to it.
 
David, it failed logon for me too, so I hit the back button and then clicked Menu and voila! I was actually logged in :)

Chris - I do it exactly the same way and it says I am logged in but I cannot get into all the areas others say are there such as the Chuck Buck tribute page.

I have poked around the site a little, but only on my smartphone.
looks like a lot has been done, and a lot left to do too.

Chris, I do it your method and yes after the back space-- it says I'm logged in. But I get the same stuff as Ged. No Tribute to Chuck Buck, no chat room, no model information, history ect.. So, I'll wait patiently more weeks. Until these items are worked out. Plus, in logging in we shouldn't have to out smart the program just to get in. The old one told us we were logged in and gave us a tab to feed right into the chat room. Oooo well I have other work I need to do. DM
 
Wow, thank the good lord for all of you, I would have never got in. I like it so far I can get into everything except the LE list:eek:

P.S. my computer log-in is now remembered again:D

I'm glad I read this first, before going to the new site.

I'm not really sure what I did, but I got in easily. I like the new site so far. It is a vast improvement and looks to have been plenty of hard work. I hope the site livens up a bit.
 
It looks as though everything is functioning now: newsletters, model histories, etc.

I emailed John yesterday to let him know that the website was not working for me.
Today he emailed me and asked me to try it again .
The new website works fine for me now.
I hope it's not too long before it works for all the members

I Bucked up and bought a knife from the new web site two days ago
the purchase was easy and I used the PayPal option for my payment :)
shortly after a confirmation email was sent and just got a email from
John today that my new knife is in the mail tomorrow .

Great service from Buck knives as usual , keep up the good work .

I keep trying every day, but not working for me yet.
Pretty much all I get are available knives and a page wanting me to become a member.
 
My friend, I may be preaching to the choir, but delete the old site off your computer and remove it from favorites listing. Then google up the new site, type in your old Name and PW. Then you can save the new site on your favorites and it WILL work. If I can do it at the edge of town, anyone should be able..... I found a small issue this morning and John got a email. As I have said, and this if for everyone, the web developer is out of town this week. John will flog him with a hemp rope when he returns to get all of the problems fixed......300
