BCCI New Website

Just got off the new web site. Worked perfectly for me. For a couple of days when I logged in it gave me a page that said there was an error but if I hit the back button I got the home page and was logged. But now I sign in and go right to the home page. Love the new web site.

My friend, I may be preaching to the choir, but delete the old site off your computer and remove it from favorites listing. Then google up the new site, type in your old Name and PW. Then you can save the new site on your favorites and it WILL work. If I can do it at the edge of town, anyone should be able..... I found a small issue this morning and John got a email. As I have said, and this if for everyone, the web developer is out of town this week. John will flog him with a hemp rope when he returns to get all of the problems fixed......300

No change…nothing mentioned is working. I even restarted my computer.
Guess I'll wait on the IT guy to return before I pursue it further.

Stumper,

If you get to the new public page, you are there. You just have to type in username and password to get started and go to the
bcci member area. If like slider you are getting a error page, so did I. I had to Google the new BCCI site then type in my username and password to get to the member page. You know your there when some of the headers turn green from the brown on the public page. I even saved that new page to favorites and it took. If you were 30 miles away I would drive over to help. I will leave you alone in your misery. I have not yet gone to the new facebook BCCI page, Tim said there were two pages last night but he will dump one eventually, it was designed for non-profit companies and can't be posted to. He created another BCCI page and that is the right one. It has a letter or number attached to the name.

I have got to get my lawn mowed after being at blade show, my yard cottontail that lives under the back shed is not doing a good enough job. He does look pretty hefty, sorta like me I guess. Ha

Doesn't work for me either; get an error message telling me that my password, which worked on the old site, is incorrect. :(:grumpy::mad:

Are you getting that from the new website when you put it in the brown boxes or a white error message screen ? If your getting to the new brown public area, you might click on password reset. That worked in just a minute or two for me...300

I had to change my password all is working now. Once you change your password you can always change it back to what it originally was. Password is located under "edit user profile" on the members only tab.

I am getting that when info is entered in the brown boxes; won't let me go any further.

Bucktool, I would presume you must be able to login first in order to use the "edit user profile" feature???

Yes I can log in now, but I had to change my password to be able to log in. Try clicking on "forgot user name or password " then change password if prompted via email.
Here is a link to the home page to log in.

I've tried everything that has been suggested. Nothing works. Even changed my password four times. Changed password via email…. also nothing.

I've spent enough time messing around with something that should be easy.
Guess I'll just wait until the website developer gets back and let them figure it out.

Very aggravating. :thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn:

I was going to sign up as a new member for the E-Membership. That level is listed as $10/year. When you begin to sign up it is listed as $10/month recurring and on PayPal it is listed as $10/month - I stopped and didn't sign up. Which is it - $10/year or $10/month? Thanks, OH

I realize you guys want things to work. I am sorry stuff is not working for you. I deleted the old BCCI website totally off my computer. Then goggled Buck Collectors Club, when I went to it, it gave me the error page. I back keyed as others had said and the Public (Home) brown page came up. I put in my user name and password, nothing happened. I deleted them from the entry boxes and clicked on reset password and username. You have to send a email to a box address, then it sends you email back. I then changed my password, it would NOT let me change username also. But, with new password and old user name I was in. I too will wait for site developer to complete that task. With the new password and old name I could go inside and look at 'green' pages. When I was through I then saved the http info and went to my favorites page and saved it as the new club site. Remember I had already completely deleted the old site info from my computer. I just checked it and it works alike a charm. I wish you guys having trouble could get it to go. Tim Lindsey has been named BCCI Facebook coordinator and has moderator status for the new website chat room area. He will be checking on things and I have asked him to come and review your issues and comment on anything he thinks helpful........300

It is frustrating when there are problems with a new web page, and the fact that initially some of the information (newsletters, model histories) had not been loaded caused more frustration. However, many people seem to be having few, if any, problems. To me that suggests "operator error" may be a problem in some cases. The only problem I notice now is accessing member profiles and I am assuming that either the feature has been eliminated or, more likely, not loaded.

For those having problems it would be interesting to know if they are using a desk top computer or smart phone. Maybe that is a factor.

Bert, I'm using a Mac.
Craig. ...I've tried all that a number of times.

I'll try again in a couple of weeks.

I had no problem with my Mac.

Stumps, I wasn't trying to be a smart alec; just pointing out it must not be the Mac.

I've tried Mac+Safari, Windows (IE, FireFox, Chrome) iOs+Safari. The BCCI site is working properly. I saw some errors, but they are not critical.

I have a HP windows 8. I can now log right in but only get the 5 tabs. Home, membership, profile, ect.. Nothing on Chuck Buck, discussion, model history, newsletters, ect..
I'll continue waiting. DM

David,

Your only on the home (public) page. The member page you get after putting in name and password at the brown page then turns the headings green. With all the green headings showing. I have not gone to all of them to see if they are active. I did go to chat room trying to figure how to chat and believe it is working.

Craig, I have tried this three different times now, using my user name only, but I never get an email back. The reason I have used the user name only is that the password reset page accepts my user name, but tells me that there is no registered member with the email address (which would also explain why I never get a return email) that I enter and which I have had for 25 years or more. Perhaps, the reason that some are unsuccessfull here is due to email addresses being entered incorrectly into the system. Is there anyway that Tim Lindsey can be contacted directly in this regard??? Frustrating as hades!!!!!
