He does this a lot! I bought a sebenza from him over on knife forums. Next day he sent me a refund. He said he just couldn't sell it. He has done this to several members over on knife forums.

Interesting. He is going on the list. Does he know about this thread? Certainly looks like it is not the first time he has done this. Mods should take a look. Repeated withdraws deserve consequences. I don't know if anything has happened to him for his earlier wrongs but this most recent one should be considered.

Thanks for the heads up.

That is terrible form !
He list them here not even mentioning he has them on ebay as well, and then tells people to pay, but if his ebay auction brings more money he just refunds the buyers here after they have already paid. Very bad way to conduct business here:thumbdn::thumbdn:

If you list an item here I think you should have to sell it here, and especially if you've already told the buyer to pay.
If the BF buyer takes the time to pay for the knife it should go to the BF buyer.
And if not that, we at least need a rule stating that if the item is also listed elsewhere you MUST put that in the sales thread.

I hope the seller will not be allowed to keep doing this to our members.

If you put a knife up for sale on E-bay and then decide to put it here too maybe some form of notice is in order. Something to the effect that the knife in question is up for sale on other venues and the first "I'll take it" carries zero value in my auctions.
Continue with; "I do not honor the first I'll take it, I honor the first seller at the highest price. Even if it's for sale here make no mistake; your post of "I'll take it" is meaningless"

My thinking is if a knife is for sale both here and on eBay and the seller is going with whoever pays the highest they are simply using the BF Exchange as part of an auction, in contravention of the rules here. Am I wrong?

I would much rather sell here than ebay but some things just sell better on the bay. This place always gets my precedence. That said, in my sales I clearly say I will sell (or not) to whom ever I want. A knife is never sold until I have the money. Way too many flakes, low ballers, noobs who have no idea what they are doing to hold a knife based on an "I'll take it". Hell, just today I had a guy ask me to email him about a knife I have listed here. He asked 8 other people to email him about knives also today. Last month he asked for a trade on the same knife even though I said no trades. I wouldn't take his money even if he paid double. Not worth the headache. Same with some nut on the bay. Idiot hit the buy it now option and then proceed to email me a low ball offer. I said no, filled a claim, blocked the buyer, and relisted the item. Doesn't matter if he/she would have agreed to pay my asking price after all. No way I'm am sending my knife to a low balling flake.

Point is, the knife isn't sold until it is paid for. Too many flakes to do it otherwise. That said, if you send me your money the knife is yours. I don't give out my paypal address to multiple people at the same time. If I give you the paypal here and I have the knife on the bay also the listing gets pulled. Someone who accepts payments for the same item from multiple sources and does it repeatedly does not belong here.

Not necessarily. As long as it appears that their listing here is a fixed price, OBO, which is what's required. Now, if after taking payment they decide on a better offer that is where they cross the line.

Yes that's kind of what I mean because that's the point where it shows the listing here wasn't in good faith.

I've already addressed this matter via forum methods with the seller. If this continues the seller will lose their access here

I bought the Sebenza from him for $385. The next day I was refunded. The same day I was refunded I found he listed it on eBay for $300. It showed on eBay that it sold. Then about a month later, the Sebenza showed up here on blade forums for $340. I really don't know what he has going on? Very strange behavior!

Was it the Sebenza 25 he listed 3 times in 9 days? Something fishy going on with this guy.

Yes. I didn't notice he listed it three times! Same pictures. I guess it's possible he had a few Sebenzas but it is the same pictures.

It is possible but unlikely!

Everyone notice how two of the threads he withdrew and the other the guy said he was waiting on paypal info.

Very strange behavior from this guy. I don't understand how he could benefit from doing this? I haven't heard that he ripped anyone off. I think everyone gets there money back. I just don't have a clue why he would do it. Very very strange!
