Very cool.

The mid-sized black knife appears to have some of the best lines and shapes I've yet seen.

Yep, I was gonna guess ZT. looked like a ZT but I'm not as familiar with their fixed blades (even though they are often fixed versions of folders).

Okay, fair enough. Get it going. If Trevitrace is serious, more power, go for it. I'm not giving up my TGLB for anything though, even if I was extremely rich. Love this thing. And yes, that is some use right there on a higher end knife, just in case anyone out there questioned if I used my knives, though this is not the first place on this wonderful forum I have posted pictures of knives in use or that show use. TMI?

I guess I assumed it'd be more a potentially abusive high-intensity performance comparison rather than a destruction test. But yeah, if he would like to borrow it to see how the two, or three, stack up, I'd send it to him if he got ahold of me.

Should add, I bartend, so financially rich I am not. I do have faith in the knife, am curious how they'd all do, and am in a position to assist if he were inclined. Was hesitant to offer at first as I didn't want to change the thrust of this discussion.

Edit: By the way, that doesn't look like a custom. It looks more like a RMD LE knife instead.

What Antdog said, I don't know much about Busse or kin. I just knew the two I had to try. I had a coated RMD and when an uncoated one came up I jumped. It does say custom Shop on the blade so I am going to assume it is a custom shop.

I know I would be fair..

I dont think anyone would put up the funds or the knives for that test. As for Mr. Winkler, I would trust him to do the test and to report the findings honestly. Either way and Im not saying this as an insult but rather an observation of previous behavior. I believe in every fiber of my being that even if a third party tester were to do the testing and do a solid no break away video of a solid month of testing and the winkler performed better the goalpost would continue to be moved until you can claim victory. Im sorry but thats just how things have played out so far and I have no reason to believe its gonna change.

If you zoom in on the photo you can see it says "Custom Shop" underneath the Swamp Rat logo.

I'm aware it said custom but I'm sure it is a RMD LE knife because I used to have it too but it wasn't to my liking so I got rid of it. There was only a limit number. I'll have to check to see what number mine was.

(In answer to your question: No. I would not spend that much for ANY knife. I have difficulty justifying spending over $45 for a knife.

I think the rest of us get it and in fact have turned this trainwreck of a thread into something truly great. Hopefully folks can hold their tongue when Boris and 119 come back to troll. And hopefully you guys (the mods) can make it very clear to them (boris and 119) that their trolling needs to stop, otherwise we will be left here to take their garbage, something that is very hard to do. Thanks again to the Mods for what you do, I know it isn't easy, this thread being a prime example.

I don't troll. I post my experiences and it hurts your feelings. That's sad. I have yet to see you contribute anything on this topic as to the knife and your experience with it, or the steel and how it works as a camp knife that is obviously designed to work wood over, it's not a camp cooking knife.

Could you please just in one post express what you've experienced with the knife and or the steel type and how it reacts to continued use? Thank you.
