Bear Grylls Knife

Haha...the guys real name is Edward Michael Grylls. No offense against those names...just kinda cheesy he changed it to...Bear...lol.

Made me chuckle so thot i'd pass it on...

Apparently it's a "nickname" bestowed upon him by his sister many years ago and not some marketing spin ;)

Damn. This was brought back from the dead! I still like the looks of the knife, but I would rather buy a Ray Mears knife or a Koster Bushcraft. Think it would suite my needs better.

Ray's Woodlore knife seems to be significantly better value though Bear's propriety knife (which still looks nice), once I develop some handle making skills I'd like to give the handmade blade project a go from Ray's online store

I really like the sheath. how thick is the blade? I'm not gonna get one cuz I can't afford it but I do like the knife and sheath. Thanks anyway horndog on trying to let us see your knife.

Tough crowd. Reading this thread confirms that I made the right decision in not posting my review of the Milli Vanilli Commemorative Fantasy Knife I picked up for 3 payments of $39.99 plus $24.95 shipping & handling from that TV knife show. It does cut through margarine like it was butter and has these cool synthetic dreads hanging off the genuine pleather sheath.

Aside from the sideshow that erupted on this thread, I rather enjoyed the seeing the photos and reading the review of the Bayley knife. I also enjoy watching both Bear's and Stroud's shows and take from each what is practical and disregard the rest. Thanks for the review.

hey i always have wanted to know WTF about the milli vanilli knife, post away lol.

imho no one much likes the grylls knife is because, for the $$, there is better stuff around, for 1/2 the $$ in fact, i dont think its bad, just overpriced.

Bear has still climbed everest, spent 3 years as a British SAS, hes a black belt, is Chief scout... dude is legit regardless of hotels
