Becker appearance on The Walking Dead

I was watching that show on DVR last night and thought it was a Becker too. I kept hitting pause but it brought up the program bar at the bottom of the screen and blocking it.

Darn. Sorry guys, it appears I raised a false Becker sighting alarm. When someone posted it was a Gerber, I thought, "No way, that was a BK 11 or 14," and looked at the scene again. For those interested, its in the episode titled "Secrets," and makes an appearance around 09:00 minutes into the show. The kid is wearing it on his right hip while talking to the cop about learning to shoot (the scene almost brought a tear to my eye....(sniff)). Looking at it again, it is clearly not a Becker. The sheath is wrong, which I should have noticed right off. Guess I should have freeze-framed it to make sure before posting. My disclaimer: I was working my way through a case of Sam Adams while watching the show that night :?. I thought the knife carried by the hillbillie-type guy looked like a Busse, but not any model I'm familiar with. The wife's knife looks like a Spyderco Military.

You can get a good look at it too in the first or second episode of the season when the kid is shot and laying on the ground. You can see it on his hip pretty well.

The knife in question, is called the Gerber Epic. Its a small fixed blade.

Not a BKT, and I'm working on getting in touch with the producers of that show, mostly, I wanna send some BKT's and Kabars down, so they can give them to the Walkers. I feel, that the zombie presense should be armed, so, I got that going for me.

I would love to see Glen, or Darryl take BK9 to some Walkers, I think that would force me to give a big Wo0T!!! right in the middle of the living room.

:D I get that over here too!! It's just the BEST s**t on the TV now!! I LOVE IT!!
I can lay awake at night planning on where to go and what to bring, just to make a new decent life for me and mine... (My Beckers will sure follow!!)

So Moose maybe you could work on inking a Becker exclusivity deal to be featured in World War Z.

That would be some pretty kick a$$ product placement imo.

I'm tryin' ta get some BKT's in Hollywood, trust me. If I could, I would get them in every action movie, and romance movie made this year.

Every romance movie needs some good steel.

Would love to see a 9 crack through a skull like a coconut.

Gerber has a lock on the show, huh? Well, that explains why the zombies are winning and humanity is on the run. My guess is the producers of the show won't introduce Beckers until they want humanity to start reclaiming the earth from the walkers. I mean really, who could believe the zombies are prevailing if all the humans in the show were sporting Beckers. That's just not believable ;).

My wife gets mad at me because I will pause the show from time to time to take a closer look at the knives. When they rolled out the cashe of blades in the second episode I knew it would be a good season.

Ive seen the crossbow guy carry a Busse.

Would be nice to see a BK9 or Junglas help conserve ammo.

BK9, yeah, but if you get blood on a Junglas, it falls apart. Those ESEE knives are made of heat treated Playdoh. Better stick to the BKT's they are REAL blades.

Human blood.... yea they would fall apart like wet toilet paper. But zombie blood should be OK as long as you Scotchgard the blade beforehand.;)

You know, the minute I saw this, I got the weirdest mental image of that scene from "the bodyguard" played out with a BK-9 instead of the katana, LOL

Walking dead rules! the comics are even better! and I'll look forward to seeing BKT in some hollywood/tv roles -- maybe we can set up an IMDB page for the BK-2 :D
