Any special events we should be gearing up for? Or just a sort of laid-back, relax and see-what-happens kinda deal?

I think beard burning, Tackett style knife selling, pounding and grinding steel and boudin eating should keep us busy. With moderate alcohol consumption of course.

I think I have some steel laying around, but not enough for a full-on Grind-In. Prolly have a couple knives to sell, but I'm not the salesman Tackett is... I can only ever manage to sell 'em once. No boudin here, but I might could scare up some kind of goodies to share between now and then.

As for moderate alcohol consumption... you're on your own there, buddy.

So Some how my PTO has been butchered, and until they can fix it I cannot submit for time off because my totals are wrong, and they dont want me over spent........ So I am out for the Fall Gather atm.
 
I thought there was going to be a high stakes jimping contest.

You mean like serrated, waist-deep punji stake traps?

I'd be totally down with that, except there are likely to be innocent women, children and drunk people wandering around. Safety first! :p

Not sure - I'm off on the annual Maine Bear Hunt tomorrow and will be back early September. Have to talk it over with Psyop and wife. Let you guys know later. Sounds like fun for sure!!

On a not completely un-related note, is it considered impolite to curl up and snooze on the picnic table? So as to avoid the punji pits? If that's cool, I call dibs.
 
Not sure I can make my schedule work, but if I can what airport do people fly into?
 
Fly in to Knoxville and the whole crew will come have a flash mob throw down in the airport. We'll be the ones with the campfire at baggage claim. And oh yeah, you should be able to see the air dancer from the taxi way.

Colonel, I just read a feature piece in Field and Stream describing how HSUS is trying to end the Maine bear hunt with a referendum this fall.
