Becker folder

Yep, it is. I can sit here and design all kinds of knives for fun, but they're nothing compared to the wonderful stuff that Ethan comes up with. But you're right: it's fun to dream.

this is how knife makers are born

Don't get me started.:D

Oh, I can design all kinds of nifty things, but I would have to have others make them. I can't afford the tools it would take to make a knife, let alone the years it would take me to learn things like steels and heat treats.

No, I'll stick to designing them. A knife maker? Me? Naw... not going to happen.

i'll tell you one thing dawsonbob, if you could get that BK2 folder up and running, i know a bunch of guys i hunt with who would be in line to get one. they love my BK2, and it gets passed around the card table all night long, but they simply prefer folders. some of them are Vietnam vets, and i KNOW the KaBar name would be the icing on the cake.

Now if the handle were actually that fat...wow I'd want one. I'm sick and tired of these anorexic-ly thin handles. Where are the man-sized handles for man-sized hands on knives these days?

Did someone mention a Becker folder? Like a BK-2 folder?

can you imagine how cool one of those in a sheath laced to my BK2s sheath would be? until then, my Buck 112 will stay laced to it;)

Well, I have to say that I'm right there with them, being an older fellow and Vietnam vet myself, and knowing it was produced by KA-BAR would be icing on the cake.

But whether or not it's ever produced (I doubt it) would be up to Ethan and Toooj. I can come up with designs that I might like, and do some half-arsed engineering on them, too, but it's not up to me, which is probably a good thing.:D It all comes down to demand and projected sales.

Still, it is fun to dream.:D

I WANT THAT KNIFE!!!!!!!

Let me see what I can do.

Okay, Bushy had a good idea. I mean, what's a Becker without Allen bolts? And a flipper on the blade? Well, it can't hurt anything, now, can it? Oh, what the heck; might as well give it green scales, too.

I'd buy one!!

Wow...now that looks sweet ! This would be a nice model to see in production ! As long as it is Left hand friendly I'de purchase one  Maybe thumbstuds on both sides or a disc on top or hole on the blade or WAVED would be sweet !!! Maybe about the size of a Buck 110 or ZT0200 :D
