Becker folder

If you put a grind on that model you'll shave off tons of electrons.
Then it might weigh less than a pound. How many kilobytes to the pound anyway? .45?

(yep, I agree - pocket clip too)

Sometime this week I'll get around to modeling a new blade with a grind. I'm sure that will lighten it up somewhat.:D

I'm not sure about a pocket clip on this beast though: it may be a bit much.

i dont care if you make it pink man, its still gonna look like a beast...i double-dog dare ya

Say, what?

that was quick! :D:D i nearly choked/spit pepsi all over the place man!...but you see my point? it STILL looks like a badass:thumbup:

Yep, it still looks like a bad@$$ Becker blade. I can't imagine any woman who wouldn't want one of those with pink scales.:D

It didn't take long because all I had to do was open the file, change the color, and render it out. Actually modeling (making) something, well, that's a different story.

By the way — what do you guys think of it with the black steel blade and the orange (or pink) scales?

I like it stainless with the green micarta scales, since you asked.
non-stainless in a folder is probably asking for trouble, tho my CRKT M16 takes cold blue, which makes me suspect it's more of a carbon steel than I realized. It's never been a problem.

Okay, don't tell anyone, but I like it better in stainless, too. I was thinking of a stainless that KA-BAR does really well.

As for the scales, I'd take it in either tan or green: the pink is definitely out for me.:D

I'm not even sure that the ladies would like that knife in pink: it's not exactly a dainty, feminine thing, after all.

i would buy one with:

- tan scales
- coyote scales
- OD green scales
- one side tan, one side OD
- one side coyote, one side OD
- orange scales
- lime green scales
- black scales
- black and tan scales

all with silver stonewash blade finish

i like the black blade, and the orange would be handy if it was lost camping/hunting. the pink was just a joke, but i would buy my woman one so she'd leave mine alone:D

Well — if were ever produced — it would be simple enough to offer it with different scales, I would think.

As it is, it's just a piece of fantasy art, and I can make it any color I want — which is kinda fun, actually.

Heck, I could even make it furry, or give it zebra stripes. Small brick scales? Snake skin? It's all just a dream.

a diamond back rattler pattern would be cool as heck! id have to get one of those too:thumbup::D

DB, you are the man, and have made this a really fun thread with the work youve done to create visuals. we need an online petition to get this into production. id be the first to sign. then we could have another "name this knife thread"

Well, I do what I can to help make this forum a fun place to visit (and learn from). I also try to promote the Becker brand whenever possible.

I'm not sure about an online petition, though. Ethan and Toooj will either see it, or they won't. If they do see it, they may want to do something with it, or they won't. It's a business, after all, and they have to weigh a lot of factors in deciding what they want to bring to market.

Personally, I like the design: I think it just screams "Becker." It would be a tough, no nonsense knife — the kind that, as Ethan says, "works for a living."

I just hope I haven't annoyed Ethan with all this silliness. Then again, he knows that I have a warped mind.:D

Um, ok. I promise I won't tell.

If I bought the pink one for my woman she'd just give me an offended look and take my cool green&black model for herself when I wasn't looking. Then where would I be? Dejected, and holding a giant pink knife, that's where. Really, I think it's better if the pink one never sees the light of day. It's better for everyone.

A dejected man holding a giant pink knife brings forth a rather disturbing image.

You may be right: it might be better if the pink one never sees the light of day (or glows in the dark).
