Becker folder

Wow...now that looks sweet ! This would be a nice model to see in production ! As long as it is Left hand friendly I'de purchase one  Maybe thumbstuds on both sides or a disc on top or hole on the blade or WAVED would be sweet !!! Maybe about the size of a Buck 110 or ZT0200 :D

I designed it to be left-hand friendly.:D

The size? Well, that would be up to Ethan and Paul (Toooj), But I was thinking a little bigger than a 110. Actually, right now it only exists as a big, ugly pile of math in my computer, so it could be scaled to any size.

Glad you like it, Bushy.

Now if only 146,973.2 other people like it, someone might think about producing it. Maybe. Then again, maybe not. Never can tell about these things.:D

Darn. I'd love to get one of those.
Please put those into production!!!
I'd get at least a couple. What a brute.

Me too. I just did it for fun, but the more I look at it, the more I want one, too. It has that massive beast feel to it that the BK-2 has.

They could call it the BK-2F ("F" for folder) Becker Beast.

Actually, though, I'm almost surprised that Ethan didn't call me today saying "What the heck do you think you're doing, you darn fool?" Maybe he hasn't seen it yet.:D

That folder has some serious appeal!! Nice work. You have some killer softwear. And talent!!:D

Thanks, cody1.

For anyone who's interested, the 3D program I used was Cinema 4D, which is one of the three or four high end 3D programs on the market. What I did here was just simple stuff: the program is capable of way, way more than the quickie job I did on this knife.

Anyone who would like to see more of my 3D stuff can go to http://www.dawsondoes.com/illustration_portfolios/3d_illustrations.html

It's old stuff, since I haven't updated my site in several years. I have newer stuff that's a lot better now, but since I retired I haven't bothered putting it up.

I may take some time and manipulate some nurbs splines and make a decent blade for the beast.

ow, ow, ow, that's HOT.

Scale the BK-2 down so the blade is 3.95" handle-to-tip for EDC is most jurisdictions.

I'm sure it's patented, but a flipper like on the Kershaw JYD-II would fit seamlessly into that design. It would reside within the extended part of the handle when open.

If you put a grind on that model you'll shave off tons of electrons.
Then it might weigh less than a pound. How many kilobytes to the pound anyway? .45?

(yep, I agree - pocket clip too)

i dont care if you make it pink man, its still gonna look like a beast...i double-dog dare ya
