Hope everyone enjoyed their mothers day weekend... I may have enjoyed it a bit too much.... at least my stomach and lungs think so...

Friday i spent some time at the tattoo shop trying to fix some artwork before we begin finishing my left arm. then Saturday me and the wife spent the morning taking the kids shopping for some new clothes and shoes... dang kids grow like crazy...then Saturday night we went to a family get together.. more like a drink off party after the kids were out lmao...

Then today the wife grabbed both the kids and took them to her parents house and out to eat and stuff.... I got to stay home and enjoy some peace and quite time.

I smoked too much.... i drank too much... i ate too much... Im paying for it a bit now but we only live once lmao
 
..... How do i make my neighbors dog stop barking at night????

... besides killing it, believe me i have thought about it but its the owners fault not the stupid Chihuahuas.. it barks non stop... they leave it outside at night and my kids have trouble sleeping... i have talked with the neighbors several times. even got mad and MADE them take their dog inside once... but it only helps for that night.. next day they throw the dog outside again and it barks all night again... Im done. I tried several times asking them. quality of life is being affected now. I personally don't require or care for much sleep but my children and wife do.

Time to take action into my own hands... Calling police and reporting noise violation or disturbing the peace is not an option, Any recommendations? anyone ever use any of those electrical dog bark stoppers? not the collars but the handheld thingys? I guess ill grab a dog whistle first but i honestly think that wont help much....If the neighbor was a man i think i could fix the situation... but with a women i don't know how to be respectful and direct at the same time as showing how serious i am. A man i could punch. a women i don't even like being rude to....

Worldwood, sorry to hear about your dog issues. Sucks.
We tried an electric collar on our terrier for a while - the noise kind, not the shock. It mostly worked, but we backed it up with behavior reinforcement (treats when she was good.) Hard to employ on someone else's dog.

Our next door neighbor has 1 big and 1 little dog. Normally, when someone new moves in, it takes about 3 weeks for the dogs to get used to their new environment, and neighbors, for the incessant barking to subside. Their little one took darn near 2 years. Who knows why, but he's been good and polite for a good 6 months now. The dogs (his and ours) only bark when they're first let out, if they are both out.

Sorry it doesn't help your situation much, but I feel for you. She probably puts the dog out because she can't stand it barking inside the house...
Anyway, you're probably not the only neighbor it bothers. Maybe speak to a couple others, and see if one of them can talk to her. There may not be much she can do, but (perhaps) she'll at least be more conscious of it.

Yea i been here for over 2 years, the other neighbors have been here for a LOT longer than me, and the lady with the dog has lived there for around 20 years.... Im on my own lmao

And yes she puts it outside so she wont have to hear it while she sleeps... but her backyard area meets up to my house and my kids rooms.....

I could call animal control or even the police but trust me that will only start a WAR. im new here, the newest one here, and the only one that lives anywhere near my block with white skin.... i have already been in several fights with the neighbors and currently im on probation for gun and assault charges... im trying to avoid any more headache if possible
 
Hey Worldwood. That really sucks. I had a similar problem at my old house and I know the frustration. I blew up a few times and would yell profanities over the fence at the dogs making sure the owners could hear me and they would take them inside. I know not the best idea but the nonstop barking made me furious. But the owners would eventually leave them out again. I tried the bark sensors that send out high pitch noises, didn't work all that good. I even tried spraying the dogs with the water hose. That seemed to work the best. The dogs shut up for the most part and the owners I'm sure didn't like wet dogs coming inside.
I think the best thing would be to talk to the neighbors and explain you have had enough or even put a note on their door expressing your concerns and your children's well being. Talk to other neighbors too and see if they will voice their concerns? Good luck!
 
Dear me.......

I got called in on my night off, then, went home, went to bed, slept 3 hours, got called in again. Spent the rest of the day with the family and my wife, then, went into work at my usual time.

For those that are counting, that 48hrs, 3hrs of sleep in there somewhere.

Neighbors dogs barking drives me nuts too, they leave that dog out all day and all night, they fill a big dog bowl up once a week and never pick up there dog sh!t. We have so many flies and the smell is really bad. I bought some fly bags and hung them in there tree, I keep telling them to clean it up. They say ya, we will.... Then there cat decides that our back yard is its litterbox. I get up early morning look for the cat sh!t and toss it back into there yard and there dog eats it as soon as it hits the ground. Everytime I'm in the yard there dog starts to bark, I yell out, shut up dumb dog! They don't do a damb thing.


On a higher note: I am coming on my one year here at BF, met some really cool guys, learned a few things, missed a few gatherings.... Visit the cove often ( . )( . ) .. I'm gonna keep the party going and gonna pay for another year and there will be a give away soon. Been busy with kids and getting stuff rolling.

Some young executive didn't like her, and started giving her bad evaluations, after having good ones for 20 years. I'm going to go up there here in a bit, after she gets home. Gonna put the fear of God in this little bitch. I'm laid off as well, and gt very little on unemployment. Not sure what to do here....

damn warrior sorry to hear about the wife's job. especially since you are out of work as well, i know the timing is horrible. Hope everything works out for you guys, try not to go to jail when you visit her office!

My wife's car wouldn't work this morning... damn thing has a timer built in and dies once a month it seems. More money out the door....

710, congrats on the 1 year... sucks about your dog problem as well... i ordered a dog whistle... even if it doesn't make the dog stop barking im going to screw with it anyways... see if i can make the dog bark every time they take it back inside lmao...

be careful and keep your options open. You may know (or know someone who knows) a lawyer who can evaluate the situation on the cheap.

She's going to go talk to one. This has been ongoing for about a year now. Either 1., that exec just didn't like her, or 2, the most obvious one, is that they phased her out. Her age is where she can retire early, etc. I'm trying to calm down, and be reasonable before I go up there.
 
Wow! 12 year old gets arrested for the murder of his little sister... Crazy!! What drives a 12 yr old to do such things?

Sorry to hear about your wife's job, Warrior. Seems like there is a lot of that going around these days, I know a couple people that have had similar crap happen. My wife has an HR degree and has been treated the same way twice now by other HR employees. It is amazing how much high school crap goes on in business management.
