Becker Gathering Snarkiness

getting fired right before you can claim retirement is a known scam... they do it on purpose. sometimes they're even stupid enough to document it. definitely get a lawyer, do discovery, pull documents before they can be destroyed esp "her file" and emails from the person that gave poor reviews... if you're lucky "put her on the early pre-retirement plan" is what you want ;)

that said, if she COULD have retired, you could probably sue for her actual retirement and benefits, plus damages and penalties, as that would have been her due right. good luck.

on dogs... i've HEARD that if one were to say, kidnap said barkie dog, and drive it far far far away, and give it to someone that wants it, and could rehabilitate it and give it a nice lifelong home, that's the best. free dog :D no more problems.

or maybe a debarking operation, on you! :) it'll come back groggy and missing hair, but no barks :D

also, is it me? or is the world seemingly just more violent? i'll note that comment about "a man i could punch", like that solves problems in a neighbor war - great way to start a permanent feud ;D just saying. i'm reminded that the other night i heard the same sort of thing, as if popping someone would solve something. it's a great way to end up in jail, and have a years long series of lawsuits and court dates - as someone i know that was baited into it - "traumatic stress and permanent injuries" are among the wonderful claims. nobody wins. least of all you. play nice ;) i'm also reminded of these girls that harrassed this dude, who gave them a shove - the next night his truck burned. then his wife's car. then the house. "no evidence, case closed"... but he knows who it was...

Yea, the world is more violent... I will admit i am a physical person, with a temper and a history of fighting... BUT what i was saying was, the lady gets rude and tells me to deal with it... i in turn walk away with no re-course. if it were a man we could settle our differences in a way that would at least relieve some stress.

Now fighting DOES indeed solve problems. just showing you are willing to stand your ground shows progress. Its not the first action to take ever. But i prefer it when it is an option for last resort.

I know all about going to jail....i know all about lawyers.... i know all about anger management, assault charges, hospital fees, ect ect ect... Its not the best option like i said but how much will you tolerate when it comes to YOUR family?

I have had to fight several of my neighbors when i first moved here... IT SOLVED EVERYTHING! They know im not afraid to stand my ground, they know i can throw a punch and im not afraid to take a punch from several of them at 1 time. Now they say hello and wave when i go by, instead of yelling racial slurs that don't even represent my real ethnicity.

I know a lot of people have lived privileged lives, not saying you, but there are those that have never really had to depend on violence, never been in a life or death situation or in a situation where violence was the ONLY way to save yourself and family and i thank god you have that life, there are however others out here that have not been so lucky. We go with what we know. But at least i try and make it the very last choice i make.

Oh and kidnapping, no matter what your intentions are, will still get you talking to a lawyer and paying those fines and possibly jail time as well. But i do apologize if the way i am upset you.

The world has built a false security behind the laws of man and lawyers. It gives them the ability to act as they wish with no repercussions for their actions. Insult someone, disrespect others, knowing nothing will happen to them for fear of jail or being sued.

A swift ass kicking reminds them, we are all humans and no one is above reproach.

When I was a kid, we settled our issues with our fists. They usually got settled and stayed settled.

Must be upbringing.

X1000, thank you for that, great post... its seldom i read something and agree whole heartily with nothing more to add.

I went up there, after I calmed down a bit. As my wife said, they really didn't give me any info. I told the guy at the service desk that I wanted to talk to the store manager, and the guy called him over the walkie, told him that "There's a guest here that wants to see you. It's Kathy's husband". It was fun to see her boss walk around the corner and see me. He's never met me before. He was a nervous wreck, haha, the little bitch. I was reasonably cool about the whole thing. To be honest, it's almost a relief for the both of us. I had to hear about this shit for a year, and she had to put up with their BS for a year. We stopped by unemployment. She has been documenting this shit for a year now. We/she decided to not go see a lawyer earlier, because they hadn't actually done anything, until now. So she's going to go see one pronto.

A few of my best friendships started out with a fist fight. Sometimes its just better to get it out, get it settled and come to an understanding of respect. Having said that, Jail and lawsuits suck balls.
Damn Dubs, I remember this, but I was hoping it had been settled. Sorry to hear they are in fact the asshats you were afraid they were.

as an adult, i've never had to use a lawyer, or my fists to settle anything. that's my public statement, and i'm sticking to it :D

if my neighbors have a beef, they talk to me. and vise-versa. seems to work.

if you're looking for trouble though, you can always find it.

the problem with some people though, they can't figure out how to END something, and escalate. and escalate. you have to help them with that ;)

should be interesting...

a company i worked for got rid of "30-40 people randomly"...

just business.

those people got together and figured out that that 20-29 years of experience meant they were all about to get the golden arches soon... i mean handshake... retirement, pension, stocks, and ooh! monies. unless they were simply let go "early"...

well, a simple class action, and each of them got well over 5x each what they would have otherwise had the company done nothing.

dumb company.

dumb managers.

Complete assholes. I was hoping the "executive team lead" that's been giving her all the grief and fired would have been down there. My attitude would have been dramatically different. It's hard to be "reasonable" when someone picks on your wife or kids. When my son was growing up, I was ready to pounce when someone even looked at him cross eyed.

Work up a Number 6 on 'em, Dubz.

Yeah, a BK6 should do just fine. :D

in the movie "Tombstone" ike clanton said and i qoute "maybe i should give someone a wrap on the beck too get some respect around here" i belive sometimes it can be a very true and useful statement.

I saw they are streaming it on itunes, but it still wan't enough to get me to download itunes.

Yeah it's a rip from that. 192kbps, so not 256 or higher, but oh well. I don't have itunes either.

By the way, I sent you an e-mail.

Glad to hear this! You definitely have to have your paperwork in order to fight that sort of nonsense. As much as it sucks, when you're talking about "real money" (which I define as any amount that would actually affect the way I live this week or beyond, ie. messing with my bourbon fund), you gotta have backup. And that means lawyers and bureacrats and a stack of documents.

Bosses, banks, landlords, insurance scum, car dealers, real estate agents, taxmen... most are all the same. They don't design anything, they don't actually make anything, they have no ideas or real skills or frankly any value to society at all other than pushing paper around and making the numbers come up right every quarter. You just have to assume from the beginning that their job is to get rich on your blood, sweat and tears. They like it, and they're good at it. They get lots of practice.

Most (not all, but much) of the time, when these rats are trying to screw you, they know very well that they're not just wrong but illegal, and will often back down pretty quick when they see that you're onto their game... if you're willing and know how to jump through the right hoops. Most people have no idea how to fight back when they're getting hosed by these parasites, and they're counting on that.

Although, I totally understand the appeal of a good right jab to the snoot :D Problem is, these type nitwits have lawyers too. They're not gonna stand toe-to-toe and duke it out with you like kids on a playground or a couple guys in a bar parking lot, they're gonna have you locked up and come after everything you own and ever will own. :grumpy:
