Went out today to shoot the slingshots. Not sure what the hell I did, but my on my first 2 shots, the effin rock hit my hand, haha. Hurt like hell. Was glad I brought my sling. It was a blast. Only hit what I was aiming for once, but there's a big learning curve with a sling.

Added a photo above. I use Theraband gold for the bands, and some 1745 tubing I ordered from a Chinese web site.
 
Dubz how did you do that?! That is an awkward place for it! I'd expect it further close to your thumb or farther up your fingers.
 
I'm thinking I'm going to wait till September then pick up the Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22. I was gonna trade my Ruger for it, but I think I'd rather keep it cause the Ruger really is a perfect CCW pistol for me.

OUch! i have had a similar thing happen, but i was being an idiot and trying to shoot some small short hand made arrows/spears from the slingshot and one stuck into my finger in almost the same location! happened a couple months ago and i still have a nice scar from it.

I think I probably tweaked it, before letting go, which means I bent the pouch upon release. This is the ss I was using:

Ok, holding it like that, it makes sense. I was thinking you were holding it like I'm used to them being held (at least the "kids" versions that rest vertically against your wrist) but with it kicked "gangster" I can see it.
 
Yeah, this ss is made to shoot gangster style. Not fond of that term, but that is what they call it.
