Becker Knife Ideas

clip point version

The only change I'd make would be keep the spine parallel to the cutting edge longer and add a semi-sharpened swedge to the top. That would be the knife to own!

Here is some progress on a heavily modified variation on a theme of a BK14. Let me know what you think. Working with only hand tools (files and such) so going with a single bevel edge came out of trial and error. Wish I had a belt sander... Comments appreciated.

the final pic is just mocked up with black canvas micarta scales I made as well. Still have to heat treat, polish, and sharpen. Thanks for all the tips and knowledge from everyone.

So what you are saying is their can be only one? :D. Looks likes a fine job to me. Like to see it all done.

it's pretty awesome. are you basing it off the necker tactool I did with the extended pommel

Most definitely. Due to my limited availibility of tools (I'm in Europe right now), I had to leave out the hole at the end of the handle but I was able to incorporate the "prybar pommel". (at least that's what it looked like to me...hope it was)

This NEEDS to happen. NEEDS. TO HAPPEN.

i dont know if i should add the serrations

When I see this, instead of seeing it as a mini tac-tool I'd like to see a collab with Graham Knives who designed the Ringed Razel. A 3-3.5" hollow ground chisel tip blade on the BK14 handle. Maybe d D2 version too. So much want.

Last but not least maybe a nessmuk tweener.

Is it just me, or would a Becker folder be a better idea as a Kershaw or ZT? My problem with Benchmade is their policy against dis assembly.

I get what your saying but I am a BM fan for the made in America thing and i love my 275

and on dissasembly I am having mine customized by keyman and its not voiding warranty. but you sparked my imagination so expect a mock up of a Becker ZT collab folder

So, I just got some damascus stuff from Kershaw and was thinking...we really need a damascus BK16. Mmmmmm...that would be something to behold.
