Becker Knife Ideas

there have been two of those in the past :)

one of them should make a comeback (machax) someday

I know boss man..I was thinking something with more traditional lines would be sweet! I am dreaming about a Machax right now!!! Want one bad.

Is the Machax really kukri-like? I *want* to like the looks of it but I just can't. Anyone have a performance comparison between that and the KaBar Kukri machete?

Sorry for the potential thread derailment.

Now the Becker dagger, should that have a standard Becker handle?

What killed the thread?

Its not dead, just sleeping.

I would say a new handle would be needed, see if you can do a mirror handle on that one.

I think a mini tactool would be cool. 6"-7" long and a 1" wide. Small enuf to be used as a necker or stuffed into a small PSK. have a blade, chisel, mini prybar, nail puller, ferro striker, bottle opener, etc. If anyone can draw one up it would be cool. My PC kung fu is not strong.

I'm sure someone has already come up with the idea of putting a gun on top of one...

The BK911 - Cuz thats what someone's gonna be calling when they get hit with one...

Didn't they have a Becker bayonet a while back

it was called that... iirc Ethan said he didn't have a lot to do with that, but they used his Name anyway... mmm. those Camillus scallywags ;)

afaik, the horrible thing is, that bayonet was designed for a gun that was never produced, and doesn't FIT anything else. it's kind of useless.

What do you guys think of the bk-50 busher design

I have never really cared for a wharncliffe blade. Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with them, they just don't suit me, or my style of use. I like drop points, at the least a clip point. Spear point, eh, could go either way. Tanto, not really, strong design though.

How about a thick, spear point (read Kephart), 1 1/4" wide, 5/32" thick, 5" long, witha Becker standard handle. No extension on the tange, and micarta handle.

I was going to do that exact knife but when I thought about it I thought it would look like a smaller bk2

Naw, a BK2 is a drop point, my fav. Spear point like a BHK Bushcrafter, or Woodlore, or Condor Bushlore.

I would like to see a heavier bladed version of the BK5 MC, but with a little wider tip. Lots of ideas, but not much use, when you think about it.

Looks good to me, and why waste good blade space with a choil. I can't stand choils, if I need to choke up that close, I turn the blade around and use a pull (row) cut. Plus choils just get caught on everthing.

but that's what you were going for.

my busher i designed for what i would think to be a good wood carving blade

what kind of bushcratfer do you have, a maple one with the bluing cause i really love those
