Becker Knife Ideas

but that's what you were going for.

my busher i designed for what i would think to be a good wood carving blade

what kind of bushcratfer do you have, a maple one with the bluing cause i really love those

I have a FBF Hunter that I use as my "bushcrafter". I only take it with me to "bushcrafting" events where others tend to look down on production knives, lol. Yes, they have those too. J/K, any knife the size of a BK2 or smaller is a bushcrafter to me, here this is my hunter,

Its the one knife I use, but not too rough. It can take it, but for the price of custom knives, it gets babied.

Would I look like a noob in the bushcraft communtiy with a BHK bushcrafter , those are considered semi custom right?

Sorry to derail the topic it will shortly be back on track

Hell no, those are ideal. I was just kidding, some guys, obviously not members here, feel that you must have a beard, only carry a billy, some paracord, a compass, and a firesteel, and have a custom handmade bushcraft knife. I have only met a few and they tend to be ostrisized by the larger groups of who gives a sh!t, lets have fun bushcrafters I hang out with.

More derailing, but the BHK bushcrafter is an amazing little knife and sees a lot of carry and use time with me. I mean come on, a hundred bucks (a little more now) for a custom, extremely well designed knife is unheard of!

this is my version of the becker khukuri mixed with the brute. its 1/8 thick to 1/4 and fades back to 1/8 at the tip

If someone judges you for the knife you carry, tell them to lick your balls. They may as well care about the color of your skin.

Some of the most prolific bushmen on earth used a mora or a no-name hunk of steel from a third world country.

It's about knowledge in practice, tools are secondary. Use what you like.

Oh, and I'd like to see a Becker with the traditional Becker handle, and in about 1/8" or 3/32" steel. Then a blade about like the Fiddleback Hunter, just a modest drop point about 4" or 4.25" long, and be a bit less wide than a normal Becker blade. This would make a superb bushcrafter and slicer.

I'll whip up a design tomorrow, and Merry Christmas guys , it may sound stupid but that's the reason I got the red spacers on my BHK bushcrafter! Because I love Xmas and thinking about it makes me happy.

Plus red and green are a nice color combo

PS I was going to make the becker khuk 2011 a bayonet think that would be cool

I may have to quote that in my sig, LMAO, that is good stuff there. [Yoda]Hmm, a true Beckerhead, you are[/Yoda]

Love it.

Yeah man screw them , if they feel that the only good knives costs $2000 then I will tell them to get there head out of there ass and tell them to go back in time and ask the pioneers or cowboys

Here is my contribution to all this bidness. I call her the Brutus. In homage of the gone, but totally not forgotten Brute. I am thinking .25" thick. Overall blade length is about oh 10.2" or so ish.

This may be the best post I've ever read on BF or any other forum.

Yeah man that was pretty great and true I only wish I had better bushcrafting skills, I am still very green I am trying to work on my trap skills
