Becker "Move Your Butt" Challenge - August 2014

6 mile run to start out August
Back in Japan and the highs are almost as bad as Florida but this time there are hills.

Here's one of the views I had on today's run. Mt. Fuji through the clouds and a array of solar panels.

Yep, i'm in. I do competitive swimming so this might have to add a little twist to it :D
 
Standard training loop: 15.5mi, 1 cat4 climb, total elevation gain 716ft
Yesterday: 55min @ 16.9mph
Today: 54:11 @ 17.2mph

(on my single-speed running 42:16)

31/4= 7.9 BP

Another 15.5mi loop for a measly 3.87BP

11.77BP total
 
2 mile run Monday.

6 mile run today.

12 BP for August.

2 mile run on Wednesday, the 6th.

2 mile run this morning.

2.6 mile hike with the kids this afternoon.

18.6 BP to date this month.

They're not measly....but if you wanna accrue points fast, hit the pool. I can earn 12 BPh in the pool....on the bike it's more like 4 BPh. Most important is getting out and MYB. I earned none today. Still paddled my kayak around the pond and after got out the chainsaw, splitting maul and axe. I was sweating like the proverbial pig, cutting the grass and splitting wood for 5 hrs. All that work will really put a small dent in the beer consumption this afternoon.

Felt good, so I ran two more miles. 20.6 BP.

I think distance is probably not the rightly scaled measure...
average speed would be a useful scaling factor. That multiplied by a subjective personal pain metric. :D
 
Saturday I got 2.3 miles walking outdoors.
Monday I got 3.8 miles walking between working on the ranch and taking my son to ride his bike around the neighborhood.
This morning I got 7 miles on the bike and 1.4 walking on treadmill'

2.3 + 3.8 + 1.7 + 1.4 = 9.2

9.2 + 22.6 = 31.8 ttd

1.4 mile walk and 5 miles on the bike this morning - 2.6 + 20 = 22.6 ttd
 
7.1 miles on bike this morning and 1.3 on treadmill.. actually did a little jogging this morning during my walk.

3 + 31.8 = 34.8 ttd
